Metformin (diabetes drug) tamps down lung inflammation in COVID models
Good news for diabetics.
“The researchers tested metformin in a mouse model of severe lung inflammation that can result from COVID-19—a dangerous condition called acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). The drug inhibited the onset of ARDS and relieved its symptoms, they reported in the journal Immunity.”

Berberine has been shown to be a substitute for metformin with less side effects. When I had Covid-19 last year, in the second stage, inflamitory, I used berberine, tumeric and milk thistle seed to combat the damp heat in the livergall bladder, liver fire and heart fire.
