You might have already seen this study. If this study is correct, then whatever the lambda variant is, it’s being linked to one of the vaccines – it’s currently a pre print and not yet peer reviewed. Is this actually something, or is someone trying to undermine another vaccine?

These data reinforce the idea that massive vaccination campaigns in countries with high SARS-CoV-2 circulation must be accompanied by strict genomic surveillance allowing the identification of new isolates carrying spike mutations and immunology studies aimed to determine the impact of these mutations in immune escape and vaccines breakthrough.”
Speaking of which, you don’t have to move heaven and earth to lose weight. Try intermittent fasting. My activity level is down substantially right now, but I am still keeping my weight under control. Today I was 73 kg @ 5-9.
Been doing IF for 2 weeks now, I eat 7-8 hours and fast the rest (no food in the fast but I do drink water and take some supplements). Have done it in the past 3 months at a time. It has never gotten me one measly pound off. I have Chronic Fatigue so my activity is not sustainable. I have been eating a diet of only meat, dairy, eggs, and nuts for about 4 years (and diet coke and keto bombs but I know that those are bad — but I need something). It really helps my autoimmune symptoms. My carbs are in the range of 21-30 a day. I have never been in ketosis according to the urine strips.
I have no idea what to do to lose weight but my health is better on the protein diet than any other diet. I don’t have huge swollen ankles. My spleen is not enlarged for the first time in 20 years.
You sound to me like you come under Dr. Atkin’s category of Extreme Metabolic Resistance. He had a special chapter for you folks in his _New Diet Revolution_ beginning on pg 180. I’m close to that category. Yes, it’s a horrible struggle, even though I’m not all the way there.
Two doctors who worked with Dr. Atkins are Keith Berkowitz and John Salerno, both in NYC. I don’t know if either could help you. Both have websites. It wouldn’t take much effort to contact them to see if they could do anything for you.
You sound comfortable on an Atkins-style diet, so there is hope. Best of luck!
Well I don’t have your CFS situation so my experience probably doesn’t apply.
If you can’t see any ketones even after not eating for 18 hours, that would explain why “not one measly pound” came off. Interesting. Maybe that’s a clue of some sort? How long would you have to fast before keytones start showing up?
All this talk of fasting is making me hungry. 🙂
The stuff I read suggested: your condition involves chronic oxidative stress, and glutathione deficiency. My fix for that (I have a chronic oxidative stress problem also) is niacin, TMG, NAC, and glycine. I’ve played around with stuff for quite a while, and this is what seems to work reasonably well.
Then again, I don’t have your condition, so it might not work for you.
OK this is random, but I just ran across this rat model paper which suggests niacin + melatonin act synergistically to facilitate weight loss. Maybe helpful, maybe not. Helps if you can use a treadmill for 10 days.
Viruses are tiny snippets of info coming to us from all elements of the human environment. They are the information we need to evolve and adjust to our radically ever changing environment.
Keep in mind that 99%+ of those who upload the viruses have either no symptoms or mild ones, and they have the info. Even 99.9% of obese people survive. PLEASE do not buy into and perpetuate the fear mongering.
The so called “delta variant” simply shows how well the system works. The virus learns how to get better at distributing the info without damaging the host. This has been true with every virus throughout history. Just about the same time as the majority of the population receives the info the pharma cos roll out some “vaccine” and claims that they succeeded “by the grace of god” more like the devil.
I believe that subscribing to that belief is sort of like going gentle into the good night. We humans tend to fight for an extra 20 minutes of life. To give up understanding of viruses and risk a black plague or 1919 Spanish flu, is not in our nature. Granted, in our misguided attempt to control that which we don’t understand, we sometimes make the problem worse. But we will never stop fighting for knowledge and mastery.
Part of the knowledge and mastery is an understanding that the next virus or the next variant could be the one that does us in. Fear of death is sort of a good thing when it stops us from walking in front of cars. Sometimes it is out of proportion, and we should seek to ensure that the fear in ourselves is commensurate with the objective risk. I don’t dismiss covid as a non threat but I have no problem with you doing that.
Milk and milk products contain too much sugar, lactose. Heavy cream and butter generally OK.
Diet coke is poison, find something else, low carb, to drink.

Unless I am misunderstanding, these problems don’t explain the lack of weight loss though. Please explain.

that I have forwarded it to the leader of our “Resistance Movement”
here in this little backwater country.
I’ll have to wait and see how it turns out locally, but one thing that
makes Belize do different from the rest of the world
is that the Grapevine here is actually faster than the Internet most of the time.
