Looking for books on post/transhumanism
Fiction as well as nonfiction is acceptable. I want to gain a more advanced grasp on the nature and trajectory of transhumanism. If there are any nonfictions specifically about current day human genetic experiments that would be useful, but I’m open to anything.
The technological elixir : lack goo, transhumanism
The technological elixir : lack goo, transhumanism & invoking AI
Gable, R. D. (Ryan D.)2019
This is available at my local Library QLD Australia, It was a very interesting read.
Perhaps Joe Allen’s websites will have some books . Here is an article he wrote with his contact info
Another person who follows the movement closely is Dr. Miklos Lukacs – look him up, he has been interviewed, not sure if he has written anything. Dr. Lukacs is in Peru and he speaks both Spanish and English.
The story is set in a seemingly perfect global society. Uniformity is the defining feature; there is only one language and all ethnic groups have been eugenically merged into one race called “The Family.” The world is ruled by a central computer called UniComp that has been programmed to keep every single human on the surface of the earth in check. People are continually drugged by means of regular injections so that they will remain satisfied and cooperative. They are told where to live, when to eat, whom to marry, when to reproduce. Even the basic facts of nature are subject to the UniComp’s will—men do not grow facial hair, women do not develop breasts, and it only rains at night.
Just as a warning: there is a weird rape scene, like MKUltra-ish in nature.
The author (Ira Levin) also wrote:
- Rosemary’s Baby
- The Stepford Wives
- The Boys from Brazil
Don’t thank me, thank UNI.
James Corbett recently connected some dots between the Trans agenda and Transhumanism. It is worth the listen and there are some show notes there too.
For a complete understanding of the people and technology behind what is occurring, Ray Kurzweil (The Singularity is Near – 2005) and anything by his colleague Peter Diamandis including his most recent book, The Future is Faster than You Think. Follow Diamandis and his blogs, website posts and podcasts, and you will be up to speed very quickly. You will not be surprised by anything that is happening now after you are familiar with him.
Also consider Homo Deus by Yuval Noah Harari
Thanks, all. I’ll start with “the future is faster than you think,” and work through the rest.
