It finally happened
My doorbell rang. I answered the door. There was a man and a woman. The woman said, “We are from the New Jersey Department of health and …”
I cut her off and said, “please, leave.”
And they did.
But I am sure it will not end there.
Thank you but , I am currently enrolled in a medical trial. ( the control group 😉
But when the medical trial is complete, I will be sure to take the vaccine.
My initial reaction, (which might be wrong), is
If they ever get to my house I will be sure to tell them to go eat a bag of d**ks.
Mike, may I ask if you’re in a rural area or city? I’m rural and thought they likely won’t come around to these parts for some time. But I also thought this door to door thing was just a scare tactic and that it would happen to very few people. To see one of our members experience this is frustrating.
And these were state and not federal workers, though they may have been hired through a federal grant.
I could guess why my neighborhood was targeted. The layout of my development is sort of unique. Homes are clustered in bunches so as to leave natural open spaces around the home-clusters. It makes for nice park-like walking areas between the clusters but it makes it easier for people to canvass a lot of homes in a short period of time.
Then again, maybe they just had a list of unvaccinated people and went after them.
That’s why I have a bunch of attack dogs trained to tear them up if they enter our gate. Trained to kill trespassers
They were neither threatening nor obnoxious in the least. One was a little old lady, one was an older man. In retrospect, I get the impression that they were hired on grant money to make some extra cash.
The little old lady actually gasped when I said “please, leave.” The man just smiled and said “alright.”
I sort of felt a little guilty about it. I try to make a point of treating everyone with respect and dignity. No matter who they are or what they are doing. I think that is important. At least, it is important to me.
But I just have so much pent up anger about the whole thing that it was hard to be as calm as I managed to be.
This was a bio-engineered virus which (accidentally or intentionally) made its way into the human population. The resulting pandemic has killed tens of millions.
Were the culpable brought to justice?
No. Its origin was covered up.
Instead, effective treatments were suppressed so that endless vaccines could become a perpetual cash cow for Big Pharma. And then the damage done by Big Pharma vaccines was covered up to make sure the profits kept flowing. And, all the while, evil people used the human tragedy as a sort of “booster shot” to keep the “911 war on civil liberties” running at full speed.
The whole thing is disgusting. If an alien civilization came to earth and observed this saga, they would annihilate the human race for the protection of the rest of the galaxy.
Mike – I don’t think you should feel guilty. Possibly, you feel guilty because it was a little old lady and an older man. Would you feel just as guilty if it had been a couple of Hells Angels members, or police officers? I suggest this may be part of the plan, to use kindly folks that most people would trust implicitly and want to help to do their job, to go knocking on doors, and not people that intimidate. It’s simple psychology, in the same way that the Romas send their children to beg, or carry a doll and pretend it’s a baby while they beg for money.
I do agree with you about treating people with respect and dignity, and most people seem to have lost their manners in recent years. But consider this – these people were not treating you with respect. Perhaps your reaction will have caused them to go home and give their head a shake, and realize that other people’s health status and choices is none of their business, and they should look for another way of making money that doesn’t intrude on other people’s privacy.
And there’s another possibility — they’re not actually pro-vax, but just taking the work because they need the money. Inflation is hitting people on fixed incomes super-hard right now. And this work beats Walmart or Mickey D’s — you get to be outside, take a nice relaxing walk, and get paid to do it…
Having said that, all my repressed feelings about this debacle might come unglued when somebody knocked on my door to ask me if I have Received the Gospel of the Holy Shot… <smile>
