I am thinking around 31 december this backwardation will show what it really means. At that momnet you potentially have backwardation AND not enough gold supplies available to honor all the contracts. at that moment the difference between ‘paper gold’ and physical gold in your possesion will be clear.

I hope it will not happen but just in case i am moving cash into gold.

I believe Gold prices are not reflecting their true value.  I, too, am purchasing gold bullion at current prices and am also purchasing gold stocks and ETFs.  It is important to understand that when the Gold Spot goes up it isn’t that the price of gold is moving, it is the price of the DOLLAR that is falling.  Eventually, the rest of the world will realize that the United States doesn’t have as much to offer as their own country does.
