HR 1207 bill
Random thoughts… I was looking back over the last 15 months and reviewing the you tube coverage of Ron Paul at the Presidential debates and I am so disgusted at his treatment by mainstream media. They did absolutely everything they could to marginalize and disenfranchise his efforts. Their tactics are so obvious. The cool thing is about the truth is that you can’t hide it forever. It always has its special way of ringing true with people and the message lives on and gets spread via other ways and in the oddest of places. I’m so thankful for people like Ron Paul.
HR1207 audit of the Federal Reserve talked about on Fox. Like what I’m hearing………
Part 4 of 4…..is where it’s mentioned in detail.
I have not yet seen confirmation on the thomas.loc.gov site, but Ron Paul’s Campaign For Liberty is now reporting 207! cosponsors to HR 1207, including John Boehner and a number of democrats: http://www.campaignforliberty.com/blog.php?view=19674
Schiff said that he’s considering running for senate in connecticut on the daily show tonight http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0IQL8Hnj44 . If he gets elected, that’s one more for sure for the bill!

Audit the Fed Bill Reaches Crucial Benchmark
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Ron Paul’s Federal Reserve Transparency Act, HR 1207, has reached and surpassed the level of 218 cosponsors in the House of Representatives, which means it is now cosponsored by a majority of the members.
The 218th cosponsor was Dennis Kucinich (OH-10), and the bill has since received its 222nd cosponsor.
“The tremendous grass-roots and bipartisan support in Congress for HR 1207 is an indicator of how mainstream America is fed up with Fed secrecy,” said Congressman Paul. “I look forward to this issue receiving greater public exposure.”
Hearings on Federal Reserve transparency are expected within the next month, as part of the Financial Services Committee’s series of hearings on regulatory reform.
This is huge. I’ll bet most members do not even understand the significance of this. Keeping my fingers and everything else, crossed.
This wil be a real purging if it gets through. Is this to be the tipping point for the collapse of the dollar?
I am thrilled about this for the public awareness aspect, but I don’t yet have reason to believe it will flow right through the senate and I certainly don’t think it will be something Obama’s looking to sign. Thus far, the present administration can pretty much be characterized as rubber stamp most everything it can, increasing and defending government power, and defending the status quo. Still, the more support the bill has, the higher profile the potential veto would be. The more exciting the conflict on the bill, the more news it will make and the more the public will become aware. Why would we not wish to audit the Federal Reserve?
Things have gotten to the point that now CNBC had an article about how the Fed could be shut down if subjected to an audit: http://www.cnbc.com/id/31204170
With HR 1207 passage now guaranteed in the House, it is time to focus attention on the Senate. As of last count, there were 25 co-sponsors for Sen. Bernie Sanders’ S 604 Bill: “The Federal Reserve Sunshine Act of 2009.”
Below is the list of the 25 who have so far voiced with two third of the American people. As of now, there are still 75 who are siding on behalf of Wall Street.
In a critical development for the future of the Federal Reserve, Ron Paul has confirmed that today HR 1207 has garnered the elusive one vote to bring it to a total of 290, or a two-thirds congressional majority.
