I looked at these, too. They might be a nice interim move, or something to have on road trips.

Getting off Facebook took ~3-4 years for me:
2018 – Not allowed to use FB on nights and weekends
2019 – Complete Abstinence
2020 – Relapse 🙁
2021 – Quit

Faraday bag might help “weaning” away from the mobile.

Things moved slower and we had time to reflect on our existence. No time for reflection or even comprehension, now.

Reflection/introspection is critical to a life well lived. It is completely absent in a vast majority these days. It is as if the last thing a person wants to do is be completely alone in their thoughts…

Anybody seen the movie, “Falcon and the Snowman” ?  That facility at TRW ended up becoming a big facility for measuring EMI … and TRW was bought by Northrop Grumman.

On a cell phone project in 2001, I had a chance to use the lab to do measurements on a design related to Nokia’s 2.5G base station.

We got 143 dB of isolation, up to 2.5 GHz (coincidence).

So Basically, if one EMI pouch gives you 20 dB of isolation, pouch inside a pouch will give you 40 dB.  And of course that is frequency dependent.

T, do you recommend a particular brand Faraday bag?  Or is yours homemade?

Nice!

Does anyone know of a video that presents a similar viewpoint, has good supporting data, but none of the bells and whistles that might alienate people who got the vaccine and are probably (hopefully only at this point) open to the vaccine passport idea?

“Choice-supportive bias or post-purchase rationalization is the tendency to retroactively ascribe positive attributes to an option one has selected and/or to demote the forgone options. It is part of cognitive science, and is a distinct cognitive bias that occurs once a decision is made.”

I’ve observed within my own small corner of the universe that the Venn diagram representing the intersection of those willing to step back and ponder the growing number of data points concerning our imminent loss of freedom, and those who instantly cover over their ears and get angry at you at even its’ slightest mention, is sadly, a null set. I’ve personally had to agree to become completely mute with my significant other just to prevent our partnership from total dissolution, because all of her family, all of her friends, all of her coworkers are unquestioningly pro-vaccine. TPTB are engaged in a comprehensive psy-op of divide and conquer, and the coming vaccine passport is only one of the arrows that is in their totalitarian quiver.

It would be a good idea not to carry around a live phone in your hip pocket anyway. Too much risk of prostate or pancreatic or other cancer. There are special cases you can buy that protect you.
