How should Idaho treat the coronavirus?
Should entire countries have a national lock down like Italy? Dense population areas like New York City need to be locked down. This stops the spread of disease but also shut down the economy for that area. What about rural areas like Idaho? Will the disease ever spread widely in rural areas? Do we spread the pain of the pandemic by shutting down areas that should be producing our food? Should these regions receive part of the economic benefit being allocated by federal governments? We normally do not allocate disaster relief to entire countries when a natural disaster strikes a rural area.
I live in southern Idaho. The Governor exempted all livestock ranchers and food producing farms from lockdown.
Blaine County(Sun Valley) is quite rural but with a private airport due to its ultra-rich residents. There is where the virus carriers originated: people flying home from NYC, Europe, etc.
Most of Idaho is sparsely populated-thank God-and people know how to grow their own food and preserve it.
Tourist towns like McCall will be hurting financially. With the parks closed, state and federal employees will be affected. Many of them live in rural communities, as do the fishing & hiking guides & white water rafting guides.
Most farmers in our state are over 50 yrs. (The cost of land is prohibitive to those younger men who want to farm.) Covid19 may kill off a generation of farmers, to the detriment of our food chain.
Michigan Democrat Governor Threatens Licenses of Doctors and Pharmacists Who Prescribe Hydroxychloroquine to Treat Coronavirus…

Governor Gretchen Whitmer from the Michigan Directorate has threatened to turn the eye of the state upon any doctor or pharmacist who would attempt to prescribe chloroquine to treat their patients suffering from coronavirus. Medical licenses may need to be revoked.
The agency’s March 24 letter warns physicians and pharmacists of professional consequences for the prescribing of hydroxychloroquine (and chloroquine). Beyond the rational recommendation against hoarding, the letter includes threats of “administrative action” against the licenses of doctors that prescribe hydroxychloroquine.
MICHIGAN – Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs warns that prescribing hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine for treatment of COVID-19 ‘without further proof of efficacy’ may be investigated for administrative action; reaction from Dr. Jeff Colyer, former Kansas governor. It should be remembered that comrade Whitmer was selected by the party apparatchik to deliver the State of the Union rebuttal on behalf of the DNC’s totalitarian interests.
There’s a pretty good reason for limiting experimental prescriptions of this medication that already has a verified use.
