Host the Crash Course videos on your own website!
YouTube also allows users to create custom players using video playlists. Two different custom players have been created that can be embedded into your website or blog (if you are allowed to use object and embed HTML tags) by simply copying and pasting the HTML code that you find below. The first has the playlist to the right of the player, while the second requires users to click on the button to the right of the play button to view the playlist. To preview the actual players, visit this page (they can’t be embeded on most forums, including this one).
Copy and paste the code to your website and help get the Crash Course message out to even more people!
Custom Player #1:
<object width="746" height="413"><param name="movie"
Custom Player #2:
<object width="416" height="337"><param name="movie"
If you happen to use one of the custom players, please post the link to your page here so we can check it out!
I forgot to mention that more info on the Crash Course YouTube project can be found here:
Very nice; one small problem though, you can’t see the whole title, only the start "Crash Course: Ch.." so they all read the same (for me anyhow). How about renaming them "1. Intro" or similar?
Unfortunately, it is highly unlikely that the videos will be renamed, so the other player is probably a better option. The second player at the bottom of the sample page also has the playlist and it’s readable. Plus it has a smaller page footprint, which is why I prefer it. I’m not sure of any other workaround for the other player.
Thanks for sharing your feedback!
