    HCQ moderately revived in NJ

A strange revival of HCQ’s reputation, says it works in high doses in late stage patients:

RandomMike,

Here is the actual study:

“By considering more factors and using new methods, we found that when increased doses of co-administered HCQ and AZM were associated with >100% increase in survival.”

Well, it appears that the main stream media got something right for once – at least in an ass-backwards kind of way. Ivermectin is the indeed new hydroxychloroquine. Only Ivermectin is even better at treating Covid 19 than HQL.

    trials from Iran

While I agree with the overall framing: “hey look – the media may be noticing treatments for the first time, ever” – which I think is a salutary outcome, and probably stems from the utter failure of them to even look at Fauci’s GOF Coverup, there’s an even more interesting (perhaps 30 times more interesting) study from Iran that finally got published two months ago:

Summary: early HCQ reduced hospitalization: 38%, and death: 73%

Well-matched cohort study, n=7,295, given within 3-7 days of symptoms.
400 mg 2x/day 1, then 200 mg 2x/day for 4 days.

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1567576921002721

In our large outpatient national cohort of adults with mild COVID-19 disease who were given HCQ early in the course of the disease, the odds of hospitalization or death was reduced significantly regardless of age or comorbidities.

But maybe I’m too negative.  This is probably good news.  Perhaps Daily Mail is trying to get ahead of the “No Treatments For You” debunking that is definitely going to happen someday.  Maybe soon.  Perhaps they don’t want to be the bagholders?  “Hey was there anything else Trump said that might be true?”

I hope the dam finally breaks on the evidence for treatments, but I fear another outcome is more likely. By the time the story gets out no one will care anymore. It will be back page news; an historical side note.

Further to that, the mainstream media is hysterically against Donald Trump. The thought of admitting he was right about anything makes them want to smash their heads against a wall. The name Hydroxychloroquine is forever tied to his  endorsement in their minds, so I don’t believe they will ever speak favorably of it no matter what happens.
