Guardian ivermectine smear
After boycotting and smearing HCQ, it seems now the time to halt the progress of ivermectine to the mainstream (the word is getting out about its promises, and of course, we can’t have that):
With all the same logical fallacies and bending of the facts…. How many lives will this misinformation cost?
This is a bogus article, or fake news if you like.
Excerpt from the article, ” To treat river blindness, people are generally prescribed a 3mg tablet for every kilo of bodyweight. The Monash study found that to have any hope of achieving the same result they had found in a test tube, individuals would need to consume up to 1kg of the drug at once.”
This above paragraph is completely FALSE!
The actual dosage for river blindness is is 150 micrograms (mcg) per kilogram (kg) !!!!!
Now, just so you know, it takes 1000 micrograms to equal 1 mg.
What I remember from recent reading is 20 micrograms/kg.
The quality of the Guardian has been in decline for years – most notably for its adulation of Genghis Khan – yes, that Genghis Khan.
I just about trust the Guardian for the football scores… just about…
They are the guardians of officialdom, no matter how ludicrously aburd such narrative may become, not in any way guardians of democracy or whatever image they wish to present. They are the NYT of Britain. Shame shame shame.
Usual Adult Dose of Ivermectin for Onchocerciasis:
0.15 mg/kg orally once every 12 months
Patients with heavy ocular infection may require retreatment every 6 months. Retreatment may be considered at intervals as short as 3 months.
NOT a recommendation, just presenting information I have found.
As stated before, I have (intuitively) made the following ivermectine prophylaxis protocol for myself:
Loading dose ; 10 ml iverdrops (for birds) 0.12 %. This is a low dose, as for a 100 Kg person against parasites, 15 -20 ml would be recommended.
Booster dose 6ml after 6 months or earlier with the earliest, slightest symptoms.
Rationale: Confusing information about half life. Against parasites, it seems to stay forever in the body, but pharmacodynamics point at a moderately slow clearance.
So I assume that fast propagating cells and blood plasma might become depleted quickly. If an infection occurs, these cells need to be fortified, and that is where a booster dose would be directed mostly.
Anyway, I have only 2 more doses left, and ordering ivermectine becomes harder and harder. So this regimen is also conceived out of frugality…
10 ml oral drench after parturition. If they need a booster, they leave the farm and their offspring.
Dosage according to Dutch CDC 0,2 mg/kg – read https://db.cbg-meb.nl/Bijsluiters/h28341.pdf
Buying 3 mg (Stromectol) pills is illegal, it’s a prescription drug for humans
Buying 12 mg pills is legal,it’s the same drug for (bigger) animals
So if your weight is 60 kg the 12 mg is exactly okay, however if you’re 85 kg you need to take 17 mg meaning you need a good scale
“The quality of the Guardian has been in decline for years – most notably for its adulation of Genghis Khan – yes, that Genghis Khan.”
Seems like more like an article one would find in “The Onion”
