Re: Glenn Beck

I like Glenn Beck and watch his show regularly.  He brings a bit too much religion and repeats things too much, but overall he seems to be discussing issues far more than any other program on TV.

Someone said he isn’t real news, and he even says that on his program.  He says he is a talk show discussing issues  and he encourages his viewers to do their own research and tells what books he’s been reading and suggests eveyone look at the issues and not trush him or MSM.  Seems to mirror the Martenson view that you need to trust in yourself and learn all you can.

I think he is primarily centered on the Economic and Freedom issues and doesn’t bring up the other 2 E’s.  Because of this the message can sometimes seem counter productive to those who follow the other 2 E’s – such as getting us back to growing.  So while I don’t think he has the whole message yet, at least discussing the Economy and Freedom issues is IMNSHO a very good thing.
Go ahead and call into his show and ask about the Federal Reserve.  He’ll hang up on you before you get to your question or at least mock you
Yesterdays show he did a pretty good job of showing the crazyness of the Fed.  He even talked about the secrecy and the need for an audit.

I find that most people that think he’s just some nut job have never watched him, instead they listen/read a lot of the MSM/progressive media that just blasts him non-stop.  At any rate, if you haven’t watch him you might consider doing so and then you can judge for yourself.  As others have pointed out, he has changed over the years, and even says so himself, as he learns he changes his message as necessary.  I like someone who can say, hey, maybe I’m wrong and need to re-evaluate what I believe.  I think most of us here have re-evaluated many of our beliefs based on the Crash Course.

It will be interesting to see what happens with his rally on 8/28.  I think it will be huge. Wish I could be there.

On a side note, if you like him, at least from the political side you might want to watch Stossel and Freedom Watch.  Stossel does a good job showing the Libertarian point of view.  Freedom Watch if pretty good and I like Judge Napolitano, but I wish he would discuss issues with less leading questions and let his guest answer without interruption – he was much better on his Internet only show.

Exactly.  I’d really like to know what that 10% of misinformation is that castlewp is alleging.

I agree with almost everything he says, and he usually cracks me up as well.  More importantly, he backs up his arguments with facts and history lessons.

    Don’t trust Glenn Beck…

Spend some time looking more closely at Beck… it is really quite disturbing.

    Don’t trust Glenn Beck…

Beck’s job has been to divide the tea party movement… or more correctly hi-jack the movement from supporting Ron Paul.

The modern day tea party movement was started by Ron Paul supporters.

There is no doubt Beck has been out to undermine Ron Paul.

Beck has called Ron Paul a ‘kook’!

Beck regularly contradicts himself depending on the agenda he is pushing on behalf of the establishment.

He initially stated the banker bailouts should have been bigger.

He has also called for a US VAT (Value Added Tax) to pay down the national debt (read more $$$ for the bankers)

Yes he sounds good a lot of the time but he is recruiting supporters in order to steer them away from the likes of Ron Paul.

Don’t forget who his boss is and how much he pays Beck.

Q. When Rupert Murdoch is paying you $50 million what do you say?

A. Anything you are told to say!

If you think about it why is Beck aligning himself with Sarah Palin instead of Ron Paul?

If Paul is a ‘kook’ then WTF is Palin!!Undecided

I watch Glenn Beck faithfully.  Frankly he is one of the people that scares the cr** out of me.  He takes what could be a good cler message,  wraps it in idealogical nonsense,  distracts from the actualy problem and routinely warns people that “there is something very wrong”   and “you should do something”  and “THEY” are coming to get you, take your guns, destroy the country.

But, he leaves it open in a (insert your own boogey man here) kind of way and exhorts people to do something without telling them exactly what that something should be.  So you get people like that guy in Pittsburgh that shot all of those cops.

I agree with ALOT of what Beck says.  But, every single time he falls of the cliff and starts trotting out the bizarre random connections and fear mongering that pits us all against one another and makes people scared.  He gets paid BIG bucks to shill for gold,  he gets paid big bucks by Murdoch to further Murdoch’s agenda.  And he is very good at it.    It’s a shame really.

Stossel and Napolitano are real deals.  I will never trust Beck as being anything but an opportunist for the cause of liberty.  The only thing Glen Beck believes in is Glen Beck.  His rhetoric may be good but he has no core beliefs and should not be trusted.

Beck is exactly what tptb want Americans to be listening/watching!  He’s another divisive tool to keep Americans thinking R vs. L!  But I don’t expect anyone that listens to him to believe this, as I’ve found most Beck listeners are brain washed by his bluster.  Same with the AJ and Limbaugh lovers!

Everyone should do their own research and figure out what’s ACTUALLY taking place!  Most of what Beck says has some truth to it, but he always takes the wrong direction in the Y to mislead the American people!  He really has become the perfect propaganda tool of TPTB!

I’m actually surprised that so many readers of this blog like the guy.  He’s the exact opposite of what CM.com is all about IMO.  To each their own though.  Unfortunately, if this many people on THIS blog actually believe the schill, it means many more uneducated (on the 3E’s) are doing the same!  Which IMO means, there’s no hope for true salvation from the banking cartel.

Precisely my reaction.
