Very nice offer.  Thanks!  If it comes to that, I’ll let you know.  So much for my $126.

Thanks for all the updates Don.  Great work.  You are a brilliant promoter.

Christopher, how’s it going?  I emailed you a few times.  I think Jason Kibbe did too.  How’ve you been?

Sorry for the silence, much of that is my fault.  Read my  response to "What Happened to the Brigade" in the General Discussions.

Hmm I don’t see or recall anything from Jason, but I got your last e-mail. Sorry for the delayed response (although I did get back to the guy who sent me a facebook message concerning the group). I’ve been good, very busy with finals and the semester having just wrapped up. This is probably the worst time of the year for me – if youre curious, I can go into detail, but I generally feel very ostentatious when I talk about what I’m involved in/doing 😛

Hope all is going well with you !

Futuo,

Well enough, but times are crazy!

I can well understand how you might be a little scarce during finals.

I think Jason sent you something awhile back asking about the final YouTube video descriptions.  He said he didn’t get a response from you and said he might take a crack at finishing them.

In any case, I figured you were very busy so I thought I’d wait to bother you for a week or two!  :]

Lucas et al,

I made contact with a fellow at a local political forum on energy and environmental issues some months back. Both he and his wife are semi retired and do an incredible job of devoting their energies toward helping the community and world as you can see from their comments. My wife and I had lunch with them last week and I gave him a copy of the crash course. You can see here how the word continues to spread!  I have added the bold emphasis.

John is a professor at  San Francisco University and his wife is a Gynecologist helping establish clinics in India and Africa for cervical cancer. The response is below.

Hi Coop and
Sheri

We wanted to thank you again for coming over to Murphys for lunch
last week — we both really enjoyed getting acquainted with you two
immensely.

We went through the whole DVD from Chris Martenson  — I had
gotten about half way through on line — and got suitably dyspeptic. I am going
to use the DVD in my next graduate intensive — I’ll have 8 hours spread over
two days, so will show a bit and discuss a bit in each of the subsessions. We
finished up chapter 20 online, and have printed out some of Martenson’s
worksheets and will be thinking a lot about what he has presented.

For
Sheri (and Coop): We will be going to the Arnold Rotary club this Thursday for
dinner and will be talking about the possibility of presenting our Africa &
India Cervical Cancer trips at a future meeting. I am attaching an article from
the enterprise that describes the August trip to Africa. I’ll also send a Picasa
weblink for the pictures we took on that trip.

I am also attaching the
current workshop series for FoCuS that we are rolling out. There will be more
detail shortly on FoCuS website — http://www.foothillsustainability.org

The
name of the restaurant in Sonora that we mentioned is Diamondback Grill — we
were told by a local that the owners are also owners of Grounds in
Murphys.

We’d love to see you both again before too
long.

John

    Re: Getting the word out.

I’m excited to announce that I have the opportunity to be interviewed on East County Live in Boulder, Colorado, on the evening of 6/10/09.  I’ve been asked to do the interview due to my volunteer work with Transition Colorado.  I’ll be finding a way to work work in things like "Chris Martenson dot com" and " the three Es" and "the Crash Course" as we talk.  I’m going to be providing the interviewer with suggested questions.  Wish me luck.

Hope you are all well.  Hope also you are all well on your way to preparing for a very different future.  I am.

… Don

    Re: Getting the word out.

Last night at the Boulder Contra Dance I was able to get on-stage and announce:

"If you are interested in knowing how the next twenty years will be completely different from the past twenty years you have a chance to hear Chris Martenson.  He’s coming to Denver to speak the weekend of July 17th.  If you have any questions, you can ask me about it."

This was announced to an audience of about 200 dancers.

Anyway, it occurred to me later that we only have about a month left.  We should be advertising actively now.  What’s happening in that domain?

Thanks … Don
