For the Canadian Contingent
After announcing in July that Ontario will not have a ‘Vaccine Mandate’, it is now announced that a new vaccine passport will be required in all ‘non-essential’ businesses, effective 22 September. The paper version will be replaced by a digital version in late October. Four provinces have now announced vaccine mandates: B.C, Manitoba, Quebec and Ontario.
For anyone who is interested, the new Facebook group mentioned in the first article ‘Ontario Businesses Against Health Pass’ is a Public group, to support businesses which don’t agree with this totalitarianism. It has the following description:
A group for people to compile a list of businesses that believe a Vaccine Passport in Ontario is unconstitutional. Your personal health status is irrelevant, and your own personal choice. We make the biggest change with where we decide to spend OUR money. Our Rights and Freedoms need protecting at any cost. Let’s all stand together, and stand for a free Canada and support the businesses that share our values.
My observation is that many developed countries are implementing the exact same protocols, within a few days of each other. Each announcement is more restrictive than the last. The UK has just announced plans to vaccinate kids 12 – 15 years next month – without parental consent. Here is Dr. Michael Yeadon’s warning:
Yes, B.C. is out of control. This isn’t a country-wide initiative – yet.
I’ve also read the story of the B.C. father who was arrested for objecting to his young daughter’s gender transition and referring to her in the feminine.
Thanks for the links JWhite.
I checked out the Facebook group. It’s only for businesses to announce that they do not support the new Ontario Health Pass. You can join it to see their announcements, but the provincial maps on Lockdown Rank are more useful.
There are not many listings on the map yet, but it makes it easy to find friendly businesses. Hopefully it will fill in fast.
Thanks hotsauce for your link as well – that is helpful.
I think you may have misunderstood the reason I posted the FB group. It was not about finding out which businesses have no mandates at the moment (because, let’s face it, everyone will eventually). It is about small businesses who are affected by the mandates but who do not plan to comply, or do not want to but will be fined for noncompliance, so that those business owners can support each other in fighting back. The public can also offer their support by joining the group.
The idea is to support these businesses who don’t wish to invade the health privacy of their customers and don’t want to lose their unvaccinated customers – and spend your money at these establishments which display they will not discriminate on any basis. One post indicated that businesses across the country are posting a sign to this effect on their door.
BC Businesses against proof of health pass
This group which launched immediately after the announcement of the BC vax passport has already amassed over 100,000 businesses signing up saying they will not comply. There is a Facebook group but I do not do FB so cannot link. The Telegram channel is very active!
That Telegram chatroom is private members only, I can’t read their contents.
I saw a post which read:
The BC Human Rights Commission has expressed they want to hear public feedback on the passport before they release a statement.
And from their website:
Our small team is currently receiving high volumes of calls on vaccine passports. We appreciate hearing from you, however we don’t have staff to answer all these calls. Please help us record your concerns by emailing [email protected] instead of calling, or direct your calls to the Office of the Provincial Health Officer, which is ultimately responsible for all public health orders: 250-952-1891.
My bad re the Telegram link. You will have to search FB as I do not use it.
Johnson Tao – there are other FB groups which are not private. One is called ‘BC Mass against the Pass’. If you do a search there are other groups for Canadians as well.
