    Flush niacin — good brand?

Ahem.

I didn’t find a reduction in anxiety. So will watch for that next time. It was kind of amazing. Like sunburn from the inside out. It was a little uncomfortable but not painful. Kind of fascinating that the last place it reached was my stomach. Not a lot of nerve cells there?

I have a slight malar rash and it made it quit pronounced (I thought it was a sun thing but I guess it’s a heat thing) . Some people said they were taking it daily. I am actually looking forward to trying it again to concentrate on its progression. My thinking is much clearer. I have been clumsy and absent minded lately and I caught a jar out of the air today. My sudoku was a bit better but probably not significantly.

Thanks for the information.

    Royal flush.

Hands up those who don’t flush. You’re one of us schizophrenia, the font of genius.

Ref: “The Madness of Adam and Eve” by Horrobin.

(It sometimes takes us by surprise that people cannot draw two unrelated facts together. Only when taken to extremes, does it need attention.)

Eugenicists dropped their program to eradicate the condition when they discovered that they would have to eliminate All their most talented families.

And that, my dears, is why eugenics is no longer practiced. (Well, not by Human males at least.)

There is often a fine line between genius and madness. Straddling that line is not easy.

Niacin was a major part of Hoffer-Osmond’s treatment for schizophrenia.

2nd day results. Much shorter and less dramatic flush. No reduction in anxiety. Maybe still coming. Even further reduction on body inflammation. Tracking if there is a reduction on autoimmune symptoms.

    good report

Well, glad the body inflammation is improving.  That’s a plus.  You might need to add in some TMG to balance out the niacin – methylation.  Once the flush slows down, you can add more and see if that helps the anxiety.  I take 1g/day @ 72 kg.

Because I spend quite a bit of time by myself ( hey, lock downs, no problem), I like to make up my own jokes.

There is a thin line between genius and insanity.
Elon Musk has erased that line.

From a T-shirt slogan:
“Sometimes I talk to myself,
And then we both laugh and laugh.”

Keep smilin’ flush buddies 🐱

    Dude, this stuff WORKS!!!

I’m writing on a Flush “high” right now so please excuse!  I wanted to share my observations on week 1.. Both Hubby and I are doing together and there has been diminished pain for both of us.  I have lower back pains and hip pain.. Hubbs has had surgery recently.  Both of us feel much more lubricated (for lack of better word) and less inflamed.  We are definitely doing the fast with Niacin and honestly we feel GREAT!  I have noticed less anxious although occasionally pop off at crazy people (which there seems to be just too many of lately) but other than that, feel really fantastic!!!  Thanks for the tip!  Are there any other magical drugs/herbs/vitamins I should be aware of that could change our lives for the better?  No major illnesses for both of us.

    another herb

securitygirl-

Glad your pain has improved.  My anecdote (elderly stepfather) had severe arthritis.  My sister tells me: “the doctors just couldn’t help him.”  3×500 mg niacinamide (I didn’t want to expose him to the flush – a delicate flower – and Kaufman seemed to have arthritis success with NAM) in divided doses and its a very big change.  “He can hold the newspaper now.”  And walk.  And no more falling in the shower.

There is nothing as magical as niacin.  If you get cravings for beet juice, you might want to add TMG to your niacin.  And a B-complex so you don’t miss out on the rest of the group.

I’ve found curcumin+piperine also helpful with pain, among many other things.  Possibly useful post-COVID – its one of those CCR5 antagonists.  Definitely some good results from curcumin for treating active COVID.  [The trial below was another curcumin formulation]
