@j7b

Thank You tbp,

I thought D3(5000 IU) would be enough. The problem i’m running into is that my parents are pilled out, they don’t want to take any more pills. My step dad is feeling better and goes out in the morning to sit in the shade. I will see if  I can coax him to get more sun. The other way I got him to take in more zinc was with the zinc lozenges for his cough.

If they don’t want to take any more pills, then they’re likely taking far too many pills. If you’d like, if you tell me the ones you know, I can explain how to quit some of them. A few, like statins, can be quit right away with no major fuss (except possible arguments with appallingly-ignorant doctors).

Try making a distinction to them between nutrients-in-pills (supplements) and drugs-in-pills (prescriptions). The latter is to be avoided as much as possible; the former don’t come with side-effects and can sometimes help you quit the drugs, so you often want to increase them.

Thank You tbp .
At this point I have small pharmacy in my room. What I did was put the supplements in zip lock bags and told my step dad to take them throughout the day. He was running to the restroom alot at first but after a couple of days he stopped taking the supplements and now just takes the Azithromycin 500mg a day. He is getting better though. I would rather have him Megadosing on vitamin C and running to the restroom than not taking in vitamin C.

Here is a list of all the things I have.

Vitamin B – C – D

Elderberry, Melatonin, NAC, Quercetin, Zinc

HCQ Azithromycin
Ivermectin (not used)

Host Defense Mushrooms Mycommunity  Comprehensive Immune Support
Source Naturals Wellness Formula
Emergen-C Imuune+
Spring Valley Mushroom Complex 750mg
Echincea 760mg

All of them of use. I would quit the azithromycin if no respiratory symptoms, because the longer/more it’s used, the more messed up your microbiome (good and bad bacteria) will become, and that affects immunocompetence too. Theoretically some of the medicinal mushrooms could increase expressions of proinflammatory cytokines, but normally it should just make the immune system more competent.

Update Return of sense of smell and taste

Step father is looking well into a full recovery as his spirits back up just get fatigued faster.
My mother regained her sense of smell and taste just gets fatigue faster.

They will be looking to getting tested soon and hopefully come out negative.

Family member tests positive for COVID what do you do?

My daughter in law, son & 3 yr old returned from visiting family in TN last night. DIL just went to PCP for classic COVID symptoms except cough & SOB. He sent her to a testing site which should have results in 72 hours.

Fever, aching, sore throat, upset stomach, etc. She has asthma & type A blood. I asked if he had given her a treatment plan either way. No, they will “figure it out” if she tests positive.

I have new bottles of Vit D3 (w/o K2)  5000 IU per softgel
NAC 600 mg
Zinc Picolinate 22 mg per softgel
Zinc Balance (zinc L-Methionine Sulfate  15 mg  Copper (glconat) 1 mg

I have a UV-C room lamp plus portable unit from UV-Cure.

I respect that she is under a doctor’s care and is a capable adult. I love her, my son and grandson like crazy and would like to help in however possible.

She was interested about the D3. I didn’t mention anything else but will drop off her requested groceries soon.

I appreciate any thoughts. She is 25 with a fairly lousy immune system in general. Sharp as a tack. Wonderful wife & mom. They just returned from a week together with all 3 of my kids’ families and her own parents.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Wow Mommer,

first of all, she is young, which is a good thing. As to what could do, it depends if she/they are willing to try it. Inwill give you my advice, and I’m sure  you will get more advice:
1. Zinc, preferably with an ionophore like quercitine, this is weaker than HCQ or  CQ, but it has less side effects
2. to help immune system: vitamine C (when she is really ill, you can up the dose, i used l-ascorbic acid, NAC)
3. vitamine D3: 3 days 50.000 iu (yes, that is right)
4. vitamine K2
5. Best of cause will be HCQ + zinc

Grts, Dave

@Mommer  I agree with DaveDD

“No, they will “figure it out” if she tests positive”

I didn’t want to give my step dad HCQ because he has had heart problem but before results came back positive I gave him vitamin B C D supplements.

Id doesn’t hurt to take Zinc and Vitamins for daily health. Why wait ? The earlier the better.

You are on top of the situation.   I do not think you need to do too much more, You are managing exactly as most should be ( and not depending on healthcare to be proactive )
