Family member tests positive for COVID what do you do?

My step father felt sick on  June 18th and took the covid test the next day. Results came back positive 6 days later June 25th. In between that time I was giving him Vitamin B, C, D Elderberry and some other supplements.

I was hesitant to give him HCQ and AZ because he is 65 years old with comorbidities and heart problems. Once he was confirmed positive the Dr. gave him AZ. He took Zinc 50mg and HCQ 200mg once a day for 3 days then didn’t want to take anymore supplements or pills besides AZ. He said that his stomach was upset from all the pills.

He was real weak on June 28th and asked for gatorade. The next day he was feeling better with more energy.

He is in his own room and bathroom.

My mother seems to have contracted the virus as well. Her and I took zinc 50mg and HCQ for three days 200mg June 25,26,27th . Taking a break on June 28th.

Next day I felt great but then my mother got 100.2F fever and felt tired, loss of taste and smell.  I gave her 500mg AZ with 50mg Zinc and 200mg HCQ before she went to sleep.

I’m taking 200mg HCQ as a prophylactic. I feel great.

What are the best practices when living with people with Covid.

I’m also wondering if I’m asymptomatic to the virus or maybe the virus hasn’t taken a hold of me? I have been supplementing since January and maybe my terrain is good. I’m 31 years old in shape.

Family member tests positive for COVID what do you do?

Dear J7B

Hello and good day.

I started taking zinc about two years ago, just as a supplement and I was taking only the zinc pill and it bothered my stomach quite alot.  I was taking 50 mg with food but it still bothered me so i chopped the tablets in quarters and that was much better.

I have an iron stomach normally and at age 61, I can eat cold pizza and warm Pepsi for breakfast (I don’t but I can) and that won’t bother me and never have stomach issues but that zinc pill bothered my stomach.

I thought I was imagining this but I tested it and it was the zinc pills.

I do not know how much zinc one needs to fight COVID but maybe you can break the tablet into 2 or 3 pieces and stagger throughout a 24 hour period.

I commend you for your home treatments and hope everybody gets better.

I am one of the PGP Panama Guinea Pigs – nine of us all on HCQ…400 mg a week to prevent – and we are all fine.  We have been taking it for months now and no side effects.

Have a good day.

    Try this telemed link

This is supposed to put you in touch with doctors who understand and are willing to prescribe the Zelenko protocol medicines.. though you still may find that pharmacies stand in the way.  Good luck;

Vitamin D3 (10,000 to 40,000 IU), with a huge amount of sunshine exposure if possible, is the single most important thing you can take/do. Doses of 1000-2000 won’t do much; 5000 would take weeks for an effect.

Vitamin C (1-3g 3-4 times a day – build up from 1 to 3g as your GI tract tolerates) should be of tremendous help too.

You can also take zinc 2 times a day. There are various forms of zinc — try another one if GI issues happen (the best are picolinate, orotate, acetate, citrate, glycinate).

Then, NAC (N-acetylcysteine), vitamin B3, magnesium, selenium, would be my next ones (in that order).

And quercetin if you can’t get HCQ.

Of course, quitting junk/processed foods, especially if it’s a carb-based diet, is also useful.

Thank You Mary59.

I have been taking 50mg zinc with no problems.

I will probably take HCQ every other day and see how I feel. Depends on if I can get some more…

Thank You tbp,

I thought D3(5000 IU) would be enough. The problem i’m running into is that my parents are pilled out, they don’t want to take any more pills. My step dad is feeling better and goes out in the morning to sit in the shade. I will see if  I can coax him to get more sun. The other way I got him to take in more zinc was with the zinc lozenges for his cough.

J7b,

I am thinking of you and of your family during this time.  It sounds like you are doing a great job with the resources that you have!  My heart goes out to you and anyone struggling with fighting off this disease and coping with long term affects.  It sounds like you are doing all that you can for now for yourself and for those that you love.  Hopefully you are in a place where quarantining yourselves is possible too. Your family is blessed to have you tracking them and the various supplemental supports.

I also hope that you’ve good social and emotional support.  Being in isolation during a time such as this must be super tough, not to mention that being a caregiver of any kind is a special job that asks much of our energy-especially as we care for our parents.  My thoughts go out to you and to everyone alive on this beautiful planet with all of the present challenges.  May you have all that you need.

Welcome to this community too! We are happy to have you.

Be well,

E

Thank You for the warm welcome EvieB,

I have been following Chris since late January and can’t thank peak prosperity enough for the wealth of information in this world of fake news and noise.

I remember buying cases of water in March and my family asking why I needed so much water. A week later the stores and even the gas stations ran out of water and then they understood why. Not only that I was able to secure some HCQ in march which has come in this time of need.

My first thought when I reached for HCQ was sadness that I had to use it but then happiness came over me in the sense that I was glad to have it by being proactive with the information shared by peak prosperity.

Thank You!
