Families of Sept. 11 victims provide links to the Saudi Royal Family and the 9/11 attacks

Background – You may remember that not all of the 9/11 Commission Report was made available to the public.  Sections of the final report and some testimony were "classified" and omitted from the public report.  The "9/11 conspiracy theories" began in earnest when Sen. Bob Graham; ranking member of the Senate intelligence committee and a leader of the joint congressional inquiry into the Sept. 11 attacks, provided some disturbing insights as to what some of the things that were omitted.

Gwen Ifill of PBS Newshour interviewed Senator Bob Graham (emphasis mine)

Q – Gwen Ifill: "Senator Graham, are there elements in this report, which are classified that Americans should know about but can’t?"

A – Senator Bob Graham:  "Yes, going back to your question about what was the greatest surprise. I agree with what Senator Shelby said the degree to which agencies were not communicating was certainly a surprise but also I was surprised at the evidence that there were foreign governments involved in facilitating the activities of at least some of the terrorists in the United States."

"I am stunned that we have not done a better job of pursuing that to determine if other terrorists received similar support and, even more important, if the infrastructure of a foreign government assisting terrorists still exists for the current generation of terrorists who are here planning the next plots."

"To me that is an extremely significant issue and most of that information is classified, I think overly-classified. I believe the American people should know the extent of the challenge that we face in terms of foreign government involvement. That would motivate the government to take action."

Q – Gwen Ifill: "Do you think that will ever become public, which countries you’re talking about?"

A – Senator Bob Graham: "It will become public at some point when it’s turned over to the archives, but that’s 20 or 30 years from now. And, we need to have this information now because it’s relevant to the threat that the people of the United States are facing today."

In a way, this would be equivalent to the government and media reporting on the the Dec. 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor but withholding the most vital information – who attacked us.  Note that Sen. Graham refers to more than one country being involved.

New Information – Source Article from the New York Times (emphasis mine)

WASHINGTON — Documents gathered by lawyers for the families of Sept. 11 victims provide new evidence of extensive financial support for Al Qaeda and other extremist groups by members of the Saudi royal family , but the material may never find its way into court because of legal and diplomatic obstacles.

The case has put the Obama administration in the middle of a political and legal dispute, with the Justice Department siding with the Saudis in court last month in seeking to kill further legal action. Adding to the intrigue, classified American intelligence documents related to Saudi finances were leaked anonymously to lawyers for the families. The Justice Department had the lawyers’ copies destroyed and now wants to prevent a judge from even looking at the material.

The new documents are said to conclusively show that the Saudi Royal Family funded the Al Qaeda operation which resulted in the attacks on 9/11.  It appears that US government, under the current administration, is fully complicit in a cover-up of an international conspiracy to protect at least one foreign government.  It has already been established that neither Iraq nor Afghanistan were part of the attack.

What right does the government have to withhold this critical information and simultaneously deny the Families of the Sept. 11 Victims their legal prerogative to enter a civil lawsuit against the perpetrators?

Our MSM has been providing non-stop coverage of the Michael Jackson death and the election fiasco in Iran.  Surely, the mystery of who attacked us on 9/11 should be front and center.  What about it Mr. Bush and Mr. Obama, are you "with us or against us"?
