Dr Korey — new interview + long-haulers ivermectin

Dr Been has posted a 1 hour 50 min interview with Dr Korey on Feb 25. (link below)

It starts out with a bad feedback echo — persevere — it goes away. At the 24 minute mark Dr Korey starts talking about IVM. About 3 minutes later he talks about IVM for longhaulers. Studies in Peru + Ohio very positive. Anecdotal reports “it gave me my life back”. Also may help vs things like Lyme disease.

New study by the British Ivermectin Recommendation Development Meeting (independent body) released on Feb 23 near-unanimously strongly recommended ivermectin even for prophylaxis and in all phases of treatment (Dr K gives link)

Astonishing decline in hospitalisations in Mexico City after introduction of IVM (Dr K gives link – graph looks like a slalom ski hill!)

Dr K believes IVM binds tightly to spike protein (!) + also prevents viral replication (at 1’09 in)

IVM concentrates in lung tissue.

Does not recommend IVM prophylaxis for children but treatment okay.

Dr K on veterinary IVM – (his least favourite question): We have no safety data so we cannot recommend it but we have not heard of any toxicity.

Very powerful comment on Merck’s “unconscionable” recent trashing of IVM for covid starting at 1’21 — says they have a number of competing anti-viral molecules in their pipeline that they have spent billions on.

Dr K differs from Dr Marik in not recommending IVM after vaccination at this time — first wait to see if the variants start taking over.

No max dose even for morbidly obese patients – still goes strictly by weight. In cases of overdose – no toxicity noted.

Dr K thinks the covid situation will be a lot better by April.

How long is it reasonable to stay on IVM as a prophylaxis every second week? no data – no adverse effects from people he knows taking it since June 2020

How long is it reasonable to stay on IVM as treatment for a longhauler — if you needed e.g. weekly IVM to control symptoms, the risk/benefit would tell you to keep doing it. If it benefits you, keep doing it. We take many medicines with less of a safety profile for years.

He thinks IVM treatment also rapidly reduces transmission.

Thanks for the update.

My parents were interested in Ivm until that National Post article I linked yesterday.  I think they are “scared shitless” of it now.

I’m starting to see Ivm as being something that is of benefit to those “In The Club”.

If you are in India or certain other countries you might be in the club.  In the West its a self-selecting club.

Maybe once the vaccines are fully distributed, they will casually announce that maybe Ivm works a bit… sort of…

I noticed in the national post article that HCQ is still considered a “hair brained” fake remedy.  I posted a comment about JAMA recommending it but in the end its spitting in the wind.

    Ivermectin Prophylaxis Passports?

We all better get in the ear of our elected representatives now and demand that before government or corporations mandate the production of a Covid Vaccine Passport to secure access to services/flights etc that Ivermectin Prophylaxis prescriptions also be added to the list of valid interventions.

    horse-sized doses

wot-

Point out to your parents that the article is correct.  But they need to read carefully.  The article says that if you take a HORSE-SIZED dose, then that’s probably going to lead to trouble.

Many people are obtaining the drug from their vets and using horse-sized doses on themselves, said the president of the American Association of Poison Control Centers

Answer: don’t take a HORSE SIZED dose.  Take a HUMAN-SIZED dose.

Duh.  🙂

If you went and took a HORSE-SIZED dose of ibuprofen, you’d be in trouble too.

I’ve also pointed out the Needle pictured is more than a little misleading.    But man people trust what they see in the papers.

Dr Been did a follow up talk on utility with various strains-will it work? Short answer-yes. Video technical but explains why.

has anyone else noticed when they go to youtube to watch these videos (marik, syed, korey), that they are bombarded with ultra right wing conspiracist advertising?  I find these associations made by google/youtube to be baffling, and downright offensive… it sends a message ‘gee, if you are watching this, you must be a fanatical conspiracy nutcase’.

Yeah people generally aren’t rational or follow up. I can find 2 reported deaths from IVM, please correct me if there are more. So your chance of death is 2 / 5 billion previous doses= 0.00000004%. There does seem to be records of 28 people having severe neurological problems after treatment not attributable to all the dead parasites, and this may be due to them having the mutation that allows it to cross the blood brain barrier like Collie dogs. However, not death.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5929173/

Government data shows ~ 1500 – 2000 deaths attributed to Covid vaccines, out of say 100 million doses. Chance of death is 2000 / 100,000,000 = 0.002%. This doesn’t include possible long term consequences which we don’t know about yet.

Maybe my math is off.
