Cases are up.  Deaths are not.

Deaths tend to lag cases by two weeks to a month.  Still, this looks very good, there has simply been no uptick in deaths to date.  Maybe time to get the champaign chilled, but  not quite time to pop the cork.

I don’t want to seem like a constant naysayer but even if this is true, it might not matter. The American media is so contemptibly corrupt they will find a way to spin it so as to pursue the present narrative.

if  the variant is a lab project, why release one with 50 mutation s that is so innocuous?

emdashtheory,

With so many mutations, I have pretty much assumed that that it must be engineered.

I have the same question.

Why?

Omicron appears ready to extend the case-demic

Maybe that’s enough for the narrative weavers to work with?

I was interested in what happened with the Spanish Flu back in 1918-1920.  It seems it mutated into a similar virus to the seasonal flu after the 4th wave.  Can it be that we have reached that point?  I am sure the governments with outstanding Pfizer contracts to vaccinate their populations 2-5 times over will not want it to end!

I have the same question.

The theory was that this variant has been moving around low-test regions of Africa with mutations happening since early-mid 2020.  A recent mutation has made it highly transmissible and has been picked up in areas with more testing for Covid.

I like the theory, and seems more plausible compared with an engineered version given the low mortality rate.
