Coronavirus: Medicinals, Herbals and Supplements Megathread
So chloroquine (a synthetic derivative of quinine) is one of the medicines showing promise as a treatment – I was looking for boneset at an online herbalist and turns out that at least in Oz cinchona bark is readily and cheaply available (apparently people use it to DIY tonic water). The use of cinchona bark (the natural source of quinine) has been well tested over centuries – it blocks replication of cell parasites including viruses and has some anti-inflammatory influences. It’s a powerful herb which you’d probably only want to use very short term during a severe crisis. It does have potential side effects and contraindications, especially if overdosed, though apparently lots of tryptophan (meat and chocolate) helps. Anyway, just thought I would throw it out there as an idea to research for people who may be having difficulty finding boneset or some of the other herbs in Buhner’s protocol.
Good article about our cats, dogs, and other mammals not getting sick from the virus because they produce their own vitamin c:
I can work on an extremely unique cure for Coronavirus, it is going to sound crazy, it is a digital cure!
Read about the possibility here:
I posted it, but it has had no views, but if you try and feel the energy, there is a decent chance you will feel something, maybe enough to be startling.
If you do, please reply saying that you can feel it, if I get some help I can maybe make this a reality!
Also get Quersetin (it has anti-viral properties):
- Thanks for all the info
I know that Chris and many others here are big on Elderberry , but this article says, with many links for reference, that Elderberry is not good for this particular corona virus. Below is the the argument.
“Normally, with flu, elderberry syrup is a positive and helps fight the virus. Elderberry Extract and its formulations activate the healthy immune system by increasing inflammatory cytokine production.” Thus, elderberry enhances cytokine response, which may not be so good when one of the complications of pandemic influenza is cytokine storm.”

My first post. I want to thank everyone that has contributed immensely valuable information to help others survive this epidemic. Currently I am 30 minutes away from ground zero USA in WA. I feel it will not be possible to isolate from this so like others will have to take chances if or when we catch the virus.
I have been researching heavily into herbs that can help with a cytokine storm. Since its the immune system that is overreacting the herb needs to somehow suppress it. I read that Omega 3 fish oil EPA has been proven to work with autoimmune disorders such as lupus and psoriasis. It suppresses the bodies immune response, blunting overactive T-cells (white blood cells).https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12480795/
Does anyone think this could help with a cytokine storm?
Another herb I looked at was Pleurisy root. It helps with the lungs reducing inflammation and has been used to treat pneumonia and bronchitis.
Another I found that was already mentioned in previous posts is N-Acetyl-L- Cysteine. It helps with COPD and reduces inflammation in the bronchial tubes and lung tissues.
Good luck Loj.. I am pretty close to the cluster myself, in Vancouver, WA. I am really emphasizing the Chaga tea every day now….
Lake Stevens area here. I got Chaga, thanks to a contributor suggesting it on PP, maybe it was you? If so many thanks. The plan is to keep immune system going strong and avoid crowded areas.
Please recommend a product or what to look for in a product.
Please give instructions for use in a nebulizer:
- Dilute to how many parts per million of silver?
- How to use – how long and anything else I need to know.
