Please note, I have not fact checked this (yet) but it sounds apropos:
36 have been accused of spousal abuse
7 have been arrested for fraud
19 have been accused of writing bad checks
117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses
3 have done time for assault
Cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
8 have been arrested for shoplifting
21currently are defendants in lawsuits,
84 have been arrested for drunk driving
In the last year
You guess which organization this is?
NBA Or NFL
Give up yet?
it’s the 535 members of the
United States Congress
This has been around for a while, and I haven’t checked it out with any of the fact check sites either. But, given my own opinion as to how the U.S. Congress behaves, I would tend to believe it, rather than not. But then, we have an oligarchy.
Follow up: Here’s what Snopes has to say about it: http://www.snopes.com/politics/crime/congress.asp
That still doesn’t change what I said in my post #1.
My definition of Oligarchy = people who operate a government with little or no caring for what the voters think or want.
