Community building Auckland
Hi all, I’m looking for like minded folks in Auckland to meet up with and build some community. Reply if you are interested.
I’m in Northland and we moved to the country in 2011. We are now to a large degree embedded in our own local community. I won’t become part of an Auckland group but if you want to touch base I’d be happy to hear from you
I live in Papakura, Auckland. Trying to get my garden established in the heavy clay soil *sigh*. I work fulltime, but I’m keen on doing what I can for resilience.
I’m very keen on community building.
I have followed Chris and co for years, but just signed up to the website to reply to your post 🙂
Thanks and all the best,
I’m currently in the CBD, but own a property in Sandringham (very little land). Several years ago I tried starting a resilience-themed Meetup group, but the attendees were not necessarily serious about getting prepared for the next 20 years.
Where are you based? I’d be very interested in connecting. My plan for this year is to acquire a parcel of property up North with ample land and water for establishing a ‘safe haven.’
How far up North are you? I’ve been looking at parcels of land around Whangarei and Kerikeri to develop into a resilient ‘safe haven.’ There are multiple excellent locations with woodland, open space and water sources.
If there are already communities moving in the resilience direction up North, that could be a good place to look (and contribute). I moved to NZ in 2010 after going through the original Crash Course in 2008.
In Nelson but GL all the same 😊
