Chrysler wasting more money full page ads thanking you for giving them money
Full page ads in the WSJ, USATODAY, NYT etc. Not cheap. What a boondoggle!
You don’t want to buy our cars? Well you will pay for them anyway!!
Please, please … this is a bigger issue than just the auto
industry. Newspapers are dying. Why, just today, for the first time,
the New York Times ran an AD on its front-page. The shame; the horror!
Chrysler’s generous, lavish ads help TWO industries, not just one. They
create more jobs in our economy. Some day, some way, a few pennies of
Chrysler’s ad spending may even trickle down to you.
Be grateful, not hateful. Pick up your cereal spoon, rap it smartly against your milk glass, and join me in chanting —

castlewp, I thought the same thing when I saw one of those big Chrysler "thank-you" ads! I did get a kick out of Machinehead’s perspective, that they were really doing their noble civic duty supporting the newspaper industry, though!
