Chris Martenson’s Content Strike enters week 6

Chris is/was the heart and soul of this website, without him, my interest in future content is greatly diminished.  Look at the skillsets and integrity he brought to analysing the scientific data around COVID. When the censorship from Youtube etc ramped up, Chris remained a danger to the narative makers. He was about to step off the controlled platforms. Hydrochloroquine and Ivermectin was bad enough, what was he about to connect the dots to?  The real reasons behind the lockdowns? The effectiveness or dangers of vaccines? (who would really be surprised in 5 years time that widespread infertility or autoimmune disease followed, for example). No, it couldn’t be allowed, he had to be silenced. I would like to congratulate the agency/group for what appears to be a successful takedown of Chris under the Trojan horse of “investors” offering to expand the scope and reach of the PP brand. Adam and his guests don’t pose a threat to them.

I stopped my payed subscription as well, until things go back the way they were or better.

To be honest, I felt this site was going to a wrong direction anyway.

What appealed to me in Peak Prosperity is what is written in Prosper. A positive story about how to make your life better by creating a world worth inheriting. Being more resiliant and happy, with or without being prepared for the apocalyps.

Not a preppers site but a way to live a happy life. Now and in an uncertain future.

What I read a lot here is how rotten and corrupt the world is. And… How to benefit the most from it financially.

I KNOW how rotten the world is. I joined this site to learn and work together and support each others to be/stay happy and healthy regardless the fact that we live in a world that is rotten.

Covid, Fed, Bitcoin. Those are basically the hottest topics. How hot can these topics stay when there are hundreds and hundreds of posts and dosens of videos and articles published? Don’t get me wrong. I am super gratefull for the Covid videos of Chris. They were priceless for keeping me and my family safe and healthy.

But please, let’s return to the positive story of Prosper.

    Alternate hypothesis to “content strike”

Just to propose an alternate hypothesis to a “content strike” – perhaps there are legal reasons for Chris’s near silence.  Advice of counsel, court order, etc.

Everybody makes their own decisions, but withdrawing financial support may be just as likely to hurt as it is to help until more of the issue is understood.

    Waiting for more info

How do we quote other people here? I see people use text boxes to highlight other people’s words, but not sure how to do this…

So, referencing the below thought from MGRS, after carefully reading so many comments, this is where I am sitting, for now. We just don’t know enough. We have heard Adam say that more info will be forthcoming. For now, I am resisting the urge to ‘do something’ about this confusing, aggravating situation that is also feeling painful to many of us, and wait for more. Yes, put your money where your mouth is, but I don’t believe it has to happen immediately. In the meantime, thanks to these many comments, I hope “the investors” are getting clear on the value of CM as the integral and unique value proposition of this website.

Also going to use this time to make sure I save valuable information from this site’s past history. So much helpful information!

Davefairtex – I agree with your sentiment. I know Chris has a massive heart and truly wishes to help people. I am much the same way. No matter how cynical I get I never feel better than when I can help others in a real way.

I believe that this whole IVM thing, all of the fantastic work Chris did, and the reality of the suppression of the life saving treatments available has really clarified, at least for me, the fact that profit nearly always trumps people especially when it counts most and that just kills me.

I know in my core that it does not have to be this way and there are things we can do.

I have this image in my head of Homer Simpson saying, “But Marge! Try to see this from the omni-touch corporation’s perspective!”

Maybe this is as simple as:

Some guys who sell Gold wanted to bankroll Chris’ truth telling during a time when telling the truth wasn’t all that dangerous.    But now that the avalanche has started, the managers of our system are in the process of locking down *everything* in the hopes of trying to make a single narrative stick.

Ive sometimes had to laugh as Ive wondered whether they would come after Chris for practicing medicine without a license (advocating Ivm) or practicing veterinary medicine without a license (horse paste).

I love my horse paste as much as the man who brought it to me but nobody who just wants to run a business in “meat space” can be associated with this or anything else unwoke in the current environment.

Chris must think that if he only had a bigger stage he could reach more people but there are no “bigger stages” anymore.  The days of a free internet are over. If he wants to keep doing this, he’s gonna have to busk like a substack reporter.

I’ll throw my money into his hat if he goes this route.

And I too have noticed the basic tension on this site between the permaculture guys living in trailers and the boomers trying to protect their $5million net worth.   I’m somewhere in between so I can see both sides of that.

Just seems like the environment has made that sheet of ice we all stood on together  split and now we all gotta jump one way or the other.

Davefairtex, yeah I’ve sometimes wondered at the tenacity of people like you presenting the market data in such detail when it seems like there are much bigger things going on.

I’m over on Wall Street Silver these days a lot but I got bored of following the PM markets a while ago.   I see these guys who are all excited about comex inventories and I try to tell them that we will be put through the fire at some time that is unknowable to us before we can ever know the real value of our metal.  I try to tell them that the fire will not be nearly as pleasant as the word “fire” implies.

I’m not religious, but something like “faith” is gonna be required over the next while.  Hard headed realism when getting out of the way of whatever Moose is about to trample us in the moment and then “faith” that we are putting our lives into something that will demonstrate enduring value to whoever is on the other side.

Following the markets daily feels like we are still playing someone else’s game.

    my assignment

wot-

My problem is, I was given the assignment: “write a daily gold & silver column.”

Ok.  You try doing that.  🙂

I would get bored just writing about gold and silver.  So it morphed over time.  But I can’t just write about whatever I like.  After all – its a freaking gold & silver column.  Right?

So, like a fly trapped in amber, I write about gold & silver every day.  I really love the site – I loved it before I started writing, and that hasn’t changed.

But I think I will feel better not writing about gold and silver every single day.  So Chris’s Content Strike has had a silver (!) lining for me.  It has helped me to realize what I really want to do.

If and when Chris & The Investors come to an agreement, maybe we’ll see some alterations in the emphasis on what gets talked about here.  I’m feeling it.  I get the sense that some of you are too.  Another one of those COVID silver linings.

There I go again.
