I’m glad to see it is thought Chris’s absence is due to a strike.  I was worried something else may have happened.  Watched him back in the original Crash Course days, moved to my homestead 11 years ago, and found him again early into Covid.  I’m a family practice doctor and learned more from him than just about every other site.

New here and only found this site as a result of a job posting to work at this business.

The job posting on Indeed plainly states that the person would be working closely with Chris Martenson.

If he is “on strike” then how could this be the case?

I am forced to conclude that the dispute, whatever it was, has been JUST resolved.

I suspect the real problem is youtube, doctor Chris has been banned at least once on there.

If he posts again then he likely will be permanently banned along with the peak prosperity channel.  Personally that isn’t what I’d cal freedom and I[‘ve very much lost interest in the channel without him, talking about the market just isn’t interesting when we know its all a fraud.

    Agree with Gareth

I, too, have lost most interest without Chris. There is nothing new left to see here. The market reports are old-economy information. Has no one gone through the Crash Course or has everyone forgotten that we went around the elbow of the economy’s exponential growth a long time ago? Or was the Course not understood or not believed? For heaven’s sake, people, review the course again. It’s simple math beautifully explained by our own Chris Martenson.

Yes tcb221, the dispute was only recently resolved. Overall, it was handled quite peacefully and sensibly, but it took a while and the rest of us were left in the dark in the meantime. You can read about it here.

As for Chris resuming, I bet he is trying to figure out how to keep sharing where he’ll be seen by the most people (YouTube) without getting permanently banned.

I would do what some other content creators have done. Share what you can on YouTube, and actively promote your channels on less censored networks where you share your full content.

Thanks for posting that link – it really does explain everything, although my guess of youtube bans being the critical factor was correct.

I hope to hear (and see!) more from Chris, how we get video is going to be the crunch – someone like howtube is needed.  I swear the second there is a viable competitor to youtube I’ll stop using it for at least a decade, maybe forever.

Regarding financial info, unfortunately Steve Eisman (from the big short) learnt this too – fundamentals don’t matter, the investment he ran afterwards went nowhere, finance has devolved into endless rackets.  Ways to preserve wealth still interest me, the example of the Weimar republic shows lessons we all may need and I quite frankly I haven’t learnt.

I would be more than willing to subscribe to any service Chris wishes to set up for himself, should that be necessary. His analysis, research skills and  and honest critical thinking are what drew me to this group in the first place and I had hoped that the subscriptions would be enough to afford he and Adam the autonomy and freedom to speak that we all came here for.

Despite Chris’s tireless work on covid, I must admit to feeling as though PP had sold out/lost a little credibility when they partnered with New Harbour. I mean no disrespect at all to those guys and I’m not so naive as to believe that Chris and Adam shouldn’t make a decent buck for their efforts, it’s just that I came to the website for their unfettered views and advice on a crazy commercialised world and as such commercial interests need to be kept to a minimum for people like Chris to be free to speak their mind. Especially in a world where, as we are seeing with Covid, the profit motive trumps everything, including life and health.

I really hope that however things play out, Chris finds himself able to speak his mind freely once again and free of any corporate incentives, beyond those necessary for him to make a decent living. It sounded from his last post like that’s the path he wants to be on and I hope he gets there soon, whatever legalities or contractual issues might be in the way right now.
