Re: Chicago Tea Party – July 2009 ? ? This could get legs

I find it interesting that this issue is being interpreted by some to be in the vein of "well-off people trying to keep the little guy down."  This is exactly what our captors aim to do:  divide and conquer us.  The corruption, the graft, the payoffs, and the made-offs are all happening at the highest levels; nearly every congressman is in the pockets of these large financial institutions – they truly run everything.  So, when trillions are stolen from our treasury and future obligations to go into the pockets of the ruling kleptocracy, we are powerless to do anything about it, since our elected officials rubber-stamp the tyranny.  Then, when the same bastards try to redistribute wealth towards people who, by and large, couldn’t afford these bloated mortgages even with the proposed relief (since many lied on their applications), people wonder when the folks who can "carry their own water" protest?  No mystery to me.  We are being undone from within here.

The only answer to this is to force all the banksters to "take their marks," which will bankrupt many of them.  Because of the power they wield, this course is not being taken.  Until it is, you can expect more of the same, as this whole slimy pond is sucked down the drain.  Santelli, for those who haven’t been following closely these many months, has been the LONE voice at CNBC in favor of US, those who have seen this coming, watched our representatives roll over to their paying interests, and seen our economy crash down.  It hasn’t ended yet, either.

So, I’m going to turn a deaf ear to the same divide-and-conquer tactics being employed here on this forum:  associating Rick’s cry-of-the-heart with the arch-Neocon Limbaugh, vague threats of the proletariat uprising and going after the "upper middle class," etc., etc.,…. Y’all are not helping.

Santelli is like a vicious dog warding off deviants.

Steve Leisman gets chewed up.
Confounded logic! It always gets in the way of propaganda!

Good video, I’m interested to see where this all goes.

Downrange, I don’t think divide and conquer tactcs are being used here.

Aaron, yes, Santelli has LIESman for lunch almost daily on CNBC.   A large group of us traders on Ticker Forum have followed their exchanges for over a year.

I would disagree with your flat assertion about the "divide and conquer," only because that is precisely the modus operandi I have personally observed in use over the years by our captors.  What do you think our two-party system is?  Both sides are career politicians, and they both receive contributions from the same host of criminals.  People pick one side and expend useless energy defending indefensible actions of kleptocrats, mostly.  Of course it’s divide and conquer.

As for Rick and Steve, no, that’s not part of it; but it’s great entertainment.  I think a clear line is being drawn by this crisis in the minds of those Americans who can still think for themselves.  We are inching ever closer to low tide, when those not equipped with "bathing suits" are going to be revealed in all their glory, including the liberal democrats as well as the neocon republicans.  Folks like Ron Paul are pointing a new direction, and others will hopefully refine that.  Perhaps we will indeed see a "tea party" in Chicago this summer, in fact.  Mayor Daley has promised to have "cameras on every corner," so better come in mufti if you want to keep your job in the coming milieu.

Speaking of that, for a great perspective (in fictional form) on what could indeed be coming to the U.S.,(it’s entirely plausible, at least) see the two books by Matthew Bracken in the "Enemies, Foreign and Domestic" series.  The later one, subtitled "The Reconquista" paints a particularly chilling future scenario that is a logical extension of our "homeland security" police state orientation amplified by very plausible future events into a place where freedom is a vanished concept.  Great reading, and highly recommended for stimulating the old grey matter.

Hey Downrange,

I thought you meant divide and conquer on the forum!
If you meant in our government, I would absolutely concur.

Also – I couldn’t get through Enemies, foreign and domestic. I started in, and it was a good read, but I got hot too quick. I need things in my life that chill me out – not piss me off 😉

Cheers!

Aaron

Joe, Joe,

Just remember that for us
old-timers from western Ark, Oklahoma 3.2 beer was a godsend. The weird
thing was that the drinking age for girls was 18, while for guys, 21.
So you could take your chick-a-boom hillbilly girlfriend across the OK
line to concrete-block drive-thru liquor stores in border spots like
Page and Moon, which did land-office business.

Vikings visited Oklahoma in the 11th century, at the Heavener runestone. It’s still on outlier, that’s for sure.

See ya in little Dixie. Cool

Aaron, OK, no I think we’re very much in agreement.  Too bad you didn’t finish those books; both of them are extremely good.  Along with "Unintended Consequences" by Ross, which might not boil your blood quite as rapidly.

And it has a "happy ending."

I did manage through "Unintended Consequences", it was pretty good… though I wouldn’t recommend it to someone who wasn’t a "shooter". I definately liked Ross’s approach to "historical fiction", and it was tough to get through knowing those events were "factual".

If nothing else, it re-enforced my opinions that the government’s role in society should be restricted to the Supreme court, and international relations… and that certain brances are totally unconstitutional and are the tools of oppression.

All that said, I agree – I think we’re on the same page. I see absolutely no benefit to the "two party system", and those who’d argue it’s necessary for "checks and balances" are historically ignorant.
At one time, we had 14 parties at once – functioning, contributing parties, not the joke "3rd party" candidates we have these days who are the laughing stock of the Demoblicans.

A return to local government centered around the 10th amendment and states’ rights is absolutely necessary to the continuity of our nation. If left to federalism, we will not survive the coming collapse as one, functioning unit.

Cheers brother,

Aaron
