Back to reading text as free video hosting websites are being censored?
I wonder if Big Tech is secretly being subsidized, probably by large banks and hedge funds that agree to buy their shares at ridiculously high prices.
So, billions of dollars in equipment and high speed internet are needed to set a large free video hosting service.
Ad revenues don’t really help much to recover the multibiliion dollar investment.
So they might have been secretly subsidized to bankrupt competition, and build exclusive digital information and entertainment sources.
Then they got censored to suppress dissent.
So, we must settle to go back to reading plain text (with a few images here and there), as text websites are cheaper to host, thus affordable by those who value freedom of speech.
We are doomed then.
When I ask a typical person how much they read, I usually get confused looks.
It’s not true in a general sense that “free video hosting websites are being censored”, at all. The biggest one is. A few smaller ones (Vimeo) might. All the other ones (alt-tech) are growing rapidly.

Supposedly reading technique is changing as well – people scan rather than read today.
