Azithromycin mechanism of action study
Fun abstract (no free access to arti; anyone?). I’ll just leave this here:
Cliff notes (from the other half, who has an edu background in virology):
Maybe not ribosomal inhibition, but endocytosis inhibition.
All the best.
Thanks for referral to this note about how intranasal delivery of azithromycin inhibits corona virus infection to the mucosal layer there.
A key point: how did they deliver intranasally? Secondly, can this be administered via nebulizer? Any report of nebulization to deliver intranasally and also to the lungs?
Thanks, all good questions, @Mots. As I alluded to parenthetically, I don’t have access to the full article. Was hoping one of our compatriots does, and could further illuminate.
