    A little perspective

What if Biden wins? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5nlhi9oySc

TL;DR: the US political culture is built around magnifying small differences between the two parties into crisis events every two years. We just aren’t ready for major overhaul of a system that severely constrains our freedom. The narrative frames elections as referendums on major moral and existential issues, but in fact are matters of nibbling around the edges. How much of a difference does it make if your taxes go up 5% or down 5%? Not as much as it could by moving outside the system.

P.S. I’ve seen several videos by this guy, the “Nomad Capitalist.” Entertaining and enlightening expat living abroad, extolling the virtues of going where you’re treated best.

Barbara,

so in your link he says that democracy itself won’t work. True we were never a pure democracy. We we are a republic, a nation of laws with a representative democracy. He says our system won’t fit in modern society? What does he want? You need some kind of national government for common defense and to be a player on the world stage. Maybe “starship troopers” had it right and people should have to “earn” the right to vote through real contributions to society. I don’t know the right answers but that guys doesn’t have them either. We have an extremely divided country right now. The Dems think the Repubs are evil and the Repubs thing the Dems are cheaters. This is a worst case scenario for the election.   All we can do now is work on self sufficiency, gather some resources and pray. At this point I am focusing on the praying part.

The left have to listen to the right’s  genuine fear of authoritarian rule and where it leads. It shouldn’t be dismissed.

I am not seeing authoritarian rule from the right.  I am seeing it from the left, mask mandates for example.

I am far more afraid of the “settled science”  authorities that live in the shadows and block my freedoms in the name of science.  Why can’t my doctor prescribe me HCQ or ivermectin?  This is just one example.  What other scientific “facts” are being used to take my freedom, property and life?

At least with big authoritarian dictatorships the dictator can be removed from power.  How to we fight the settled science government  bureaucracy dictatorship?

Redneck Engineer I have mentioned this concept here numerous times over the years. Most maybe none here have much interest. This is the build a fortress, hunker down site. Being nimble is a great advantage and just as in spirituality being non attached has great advantage. I know many expats who are very happy living outside the country. We are seeing a great migration even in this country with people fleeing the Left Coast. California may be the least resilient state in the country. Taxes are astronomical and government services are going to crash. The tax base is shrinking rapidly. There is either not enough water or too much and you can’t go outside for 4 months of the year. Or worse you risk losing everything and getting burnt to a crisp.

The virus has made it evident that tech companies don’t need huge campuses and offices. If people can work from home anywhere in the world they will and they will choose places that treat them well.  If Biden wins he said Capital gains taxes will go up. This is OUR Great Reset. May the odds ever be in your favor

And here’s another doozy re US governance/culture … a bit of a longer read but so very illuminating.

https://www.revolver.news/2020/09/meet-norm-eisen-legal-hatchet-man-and-central-operative-in-the-color-revolution-against-president-trump/

“… And there we have it, folks—Norm Eisen, former Obama Ethics Czar, Ambassador to Czechoslovakia during the “Velvet Revolution,” key counsel in impeachment effort against Trump, and participant in the ostensibly bi-partisan election war games predicting a contested election scenario unfavorable to Trump—just happens to be a Color Revolution expert who literally wrote the modern “Playbook” in the explicitly acknowledged tradition of Color Revolution Godfather Gene Sharp’s “From Dictatorship to Democracy.”

“…This combination of tactics used in so-called Color Revolutions did not come from nowhere. Before Norm Eisen came Gene Sharp—originator and Godfather of the Color Revolution model that has been a staple of US Government operations externally (and now internally) for decades. Before Norm Eisen’s “Playbook” there was Gene Sharp’s classic “From Dictatorship to Democracy,” which might be justly described as the Bible of the Color Revolution. Such is the power of the strategies laid out by Sharp that a Lithuanian defense minister once said of Sharp’s preceding book (upon which Dictatorship to Democracy builds) that  “I would rather have this book than the nuclear bomb.”…

Bold my emphasis.

There is no way in hell, IMHO, this election is not rigged.

My sentiments exactly and I can’t imagine any way that they would allow Trump another 4 years. We’ve seen the writing on the wall for 4 years. Oh, and where is Hunter Biden?

Awaiting The US Presidential Election Outcome. Cui bono?

https://policetribune.com/portland-antifa-overwhelmed-at-latest-riot-by-state-police-sheriff-national-guard/

“In Denver, a crowd marched through the streets carrying signs that read “Death to the fascism and liberalism that enables it,” and, “Whoever they vote for we are ungovernable,” KUSA reported.”

So someone is pivoting “the resistance” from anti-Trump to anti-USA, no matter who is in charge (which is what I would say was the key undercurrent all along). Who benefits from a movement that seeks to create chaos and destruction no matter who is in charge? Who wants to crash “the system?”  I’d say the answer is those revolutionary-minded folks like George Soros and Bill Ayers who could never attract enough popular support to take charge of the system legitimately but see a path to ultimate power if the system can be crashed and left anarchic. At that point they can step up and offer the desperate masses “The Ultimate Solution.” Of course, that would include signing up for The Great Reset. I may be wrong but this is how color revolutions and communist revolutions almost always unfold. If it succeeds here there will be a lot of “useful idiots” (today’s protesters and rioters) who are shocked when the new revolutionary leader executes them or sends them off to gulags. That’s how it almost always happens too.

Nail. On. Head.!

History is full of psychopathic, evil wanna be rulers who cannot accomplish what they want legitimately so they do all their evil shit instead. The only difference is the scale at which they do it… Klaus Schwab et al seems to be kings & queens of this current giant shit pile.

I would contend that ‘shit does not happen’ but rather ‘shitty people happen’, and they are able to happen because they are so good at fomenting shitty propaganda that the shitty sheeple buy into.

Where is that poop icon when I need it?!?
