Australia Needs America’s Help
America still has a lot of power. It would be great if it would exert some of that power to put pressure on the Australian Federal Government and State Governments. This absolute violence has to stop and the police (or honestly whatever these guys are) have to be dealt with. We are in terrible trouble if this sort of thing goes unchecked because they have shown their hand. They are acting against ordinary people. Perhaps America could put sanctions on Victoria as a state for this sort of violence, or the whole country for its ongoing human rights violations. I can only assume these officers have been given immunity from prosecution for any harm they may do citizens. They are not afraid at all to overstep the mark. The media is complicit in this because it stays on narrative and only shows footage that sells that narrative. I want to see the police officer in the first video in gaol (jail).
*ALL* of the police violence was demonstrated in the 2019 protests in Hong Kong. it’s as if governments the world over looked to the 2019 protests for guidance. the same is true for the media responses to the violence; hide police brutality or justify it with the claim that the protesters were dangerous rioters.
next steps. plant police within the protests to create/encourage destructive behaviour and then escalate the brutality of the police as a ‘warranted response’.
also, learn from the Capitol Hill incident in the U.S., and also from the Hong Kong police today; arrest people without indicating the crime and keep them locked up indefinitely.
Anyone know where the arrested people are ending up?
In the internment camps?
Very dark days in Australia but I can totally see this starting to happen in other countries.
I guess that’s how they plan to combat the social unrest when the populace start running out of food. Part of the master plan ???
Maybe we could send them surplus rifles etc.
The incident that was used to justify the big Aussie gun grab in 1996 was a fascinating manipulated event.
I’m afraid that Grandpa Joe and his handlers have neither the inclination nor the ability to discourage such brutality in the name of totalitarianism. Joe can’t even name your PM. As for the people really running the USA, they’re probably envious and inspired by watching what’s happening down under.
Susan, which America could come to their aid? Over 70% of Australians support what is going on there. The majority here would utter nary a peep if the same brutal tactics were employed here. Did you see the vid where the American doc said the unvaxed deserved to be denied any medical care? Just shoved in a corner and ignored. Our government and their government……what’s the difference?
USA> sry aussies, we already gave our surplus guns to the Taleban.
I am 60 years old. I was born 15 years after the end of WW2 and I grew up at a time when America was greatly appreciated. The war was still alive in people’s memories. I remember that Mum used to tell me that America saved us. How Australian soldiers were treated in Japanese prisoner of war camps was a good indication of how we would be treated if the Japanese won the war. We were truly grateful and therefore as a nation we have been loyal to America all these years. But that is my generation and older, the younger ones don’t have those memories and therefore might not have those sentiments.
I saw that some Republicans were calling on America to sanction Australia. I think that is a good idea. Something, anything, that might bleed into our corporate media and ordinary people will see it. One of the biggest problems here is that the media is singing the same song and not telling the truth.
America has traditionally tied trade and other deals with Australia to its own economic and strategic advantage, and now under Biden, I suspect to its own ideological position. Witness Australia’s quick about turn on climate change. Do you think that had nothing to do with the Aukus deal (and everything behind it)?
America has the capacity to nip the tyranny in the bud here. However, with respect to the current government, you may be right. Nevertheless, some people in politics love their country, love freedom and dare I say it, love their God, irrespective of their political party. I have a great deal of respect for that. United we stand and divided we fall. The enemies of our countries know that. So, step one to standing is to be united.
Thanks for answering me. I wrote my post upset, late at night, after watching a terrible video of a police officer coming up behind someone, lifting them up and smashing their head into the ground. Mine was a human response because Australia really needs God’s help.
We haven’t helped ourselves, or Afghanistan, or Taiwan. As much as many here would love to help, it would not be wise to count on and .gov to save the day. Get the free PDF of bastiat, the law. Share it with neighbors. Prayers for you and for us all.
