    Anecdotal Ivermectin Stories

This topic is intended to be a place for people to post their own or other’s stories (successes and failures) regarding treating COVID with Ivermectin. I’m working on mine and hope to post the details in the near future.

Until then, I found this astounding piece this morning out of Buffalo, NY:

After judge orders hospital to use experimental Covid-19 treatment, woman recovers
https://buffalonews.com/news/local/after-judge-orders-hospital-to-use-experimental-covid-19-treatment-woman-recovers/article_a9eb315c-5694-11eb-aac5-53b541448755.html

The patient’s son, Michael Smentkiewicz, said hospital officials had told him and his sister, Michelle Kulbacki, on Dec. 31 that their mother’s chance of survival – as an 80-year-old Covid-19 patient on a ventilator – was about 20%.

He said doctors at the hospital also told the family that Smentkiewicz would probably be on a ventilator in the Intensive Care Unit for at least a month.

“We did a lot of our own research, we read about Ivermectin … The results sounded very promising, and we decided we had to try something different,” Michael Smentkiewicz said. “We pressured the doctor in the ICU to give it to her. He finally agreed.”
On Jan. 2, Smentkiewicz was given her first dose of Ivermectin, and according to court papers filed by her family, she made “a complete turnaround.”
“In less than 48 hours, my mother was taken off the ventilator, transferred out of the Intensive Care Unit, sitting up on her own and communicating,” Kulbacki said in a court affidavit.

But after her mother was transferred to another hospital wing away from the ICU, doctors in that unit refused to give her any more doses of the drug, and her condition quickly declined, the family said in court papers.
“We were astounded when they refused to give her any more doses,” Michael Smentkiewicz said. “That’s why I called Ralph Lorigo and we took the hospital to court.”

    Anecdotal Ivermectin Stories

My experience was that I had loose stools for 2-3 days. Then I came down with a low fever (99.6) on Saturday.  I was watching a movie and when I stood up my legs were super sore, like I just hiked out of the Grand Canyon. So I took the Durvet horse paste at 0.2mg/kg. Within 45 minutes, my legs felt much better. On Sunday I took a covid spit-in-the-cup test. The test came back positive…on Thursday.  I still had a fever on Sunday, it went up and down from 99.1 to 99.9.  On Monday, the fever was on-and-off – sometimes my temp was normal, and other times I’d start sweating and found it was high again, once as high as 100.2.  Monday evening I took my second dose of IVR.  After that, besides feeling a little tired, I was fine.  I did develop a chest cough with that tiny tickle in the back of my throat. I would cough up stuff from my lungs now and then, just like after any other respiratory virus.  It’s been 2-3 weeks now, the cough is nearly gone, and I feel totally fine.

I took a dose of the equine paste last Sunday as a prophylaxis and then I had 3 nights of terrible insomnia. I abandoned the second dose. I’m curious if anyone has experienced this. Felt like I was hopped up on caffeine all night long.

Great thread.  My favorite ivermectin story was the Toronto nursing home concurrent scabies/COVID outbreak.  This was way back in late Feb, early March.

170 residents (average age 85!) being treated with ivermectin for scabies, when coronavirus outbreak occurred.

Only 6 of the residents caught the virus & 4 of the 6 were asymptomatic.  None of the staff took ivermectin, & apparently spread among staff occurred, though details on this aren’t given.

Got to love when science hands itself to you on a silver platter.  Too bad the government plague boffins ignored this gift.

A quick look at drug info on Medscape shows that both insomnia and somnolence (sleepiness) are known adverse effects of ivermectin. So at the very least, it’s not unheard of:

Of the two doses I’ve taken, I have not experienced any sleeplessness. But, I also took 3mg of melatonin before bed. That may counteract it? My wife didn’t take the melatonin and has not noticed any side effects.

What are the other ingredients in the horse paste? What dose did you take?

Yeah it definitely potentiates caffeine for me. The second time I took it I did it first thing in the morning and didn’t drink any coffee (just a little) until that evening. That helped and I didn’t notice any caffeine jitters.

58yr old, comorbid, hospital after 4 days of symptoms

Talking to a friend today he relayed this recent story of a friend of his…

58 year old male. Heart attack survivor in late 2019.
Started showing COVID symptoms days after his 81 y/o mother did (also heart attack survivor). After 4 days of severe diarrhea and fever his body starts shutting down from dehydration. Gets someone to finally take him to the hospital.

Hospital tells him to go home and drink fluids. He tries to explain to them that Gatorade comes out almost as fast as he can drink it (yummy). Finally, a different nurse reads his chart and tells him that his cardiac Dr. is there and that he will come see him soon. He explains that his problem is COVID, not his heart. She just smiles.

Cardiac Dr. shows up, reviews his condition and tells him that he is going to write him a prescription for {parasite name withheld}. The patient gives him a really strange look and the Dr. explains that he could lose his license for writing the prescription. Yes, it’s Ivermectin.

Guy gets the prescription filled and takes the 1st dose.
He said that after 5 hours, yes, five hours, he is up and around and feeling very good. Symptoms start to disappear. He has now fully recovered.

My friend tells me this story like he has witnessed the 2nd coming, ignoring the 100 times I have mentioned IVM to him. We finally have the discussion about IVM that I wish I could have with all of my family and friends. This is what it is going to take to change some minds.

Sadly, tonight my friend will be at the funeral for his friend’s mother.
