Well, Rocket Girl, maybe you can tell me what I think, because I really don’t know what to think about this latest bit of news, lol.  All I’m saying, so far, is that something is up on the radar and it’s an unidentified flying object, until further data is available.  (I still go by the FAA definition of UFO’s, which, parahrased, is something that’s airborne, and whose nature is not yet understood.  Interestingly, when I asked my father, who flew for American Airlines, about whether he’d seen any UFO’s, he indicated that they were seen periodically by flight crews, but not reported, as reports were likely to land one in the flight surgeon’s office.  I think their reticence is understandable.  Unfortunately, or fortunately, as the case may be, I don’t seem to have inherited his restraint, lol.)

Interesting. I hope this mutant of H1N1 has the current H1N1 antigens, otherwise we will not be protected bu the vaccine or disease. It is fairly easy to mutate flu by infecting egg yolks with 2 different varieties getting both the original varieties and hybrids.

Maybe start a new thread?  This one is getting too long for a new subscriber to want to keep up with.

I fully agree on the mutant/recombinant question . . . It’s highly questionable whether the vaccine would protect against a mutated virus.

Personally, I’d rather keep this thread going.  That way, it’s easier for a new visitor to find all of the relevant data in one place.  If we start a new thread, it will lack the context that this one provides.  New subscribers always have the option of starting here, or digging through past posts.

Pneumonic Plague Outbreak in China

Two people have died, a town of 10,000 is under quarantine, and the area within a 17-mile radius around it has been sealed to contain a pneumonic plague outbreak: Chinese authorities have put a whole town in quarantine after an outbreak of horrifying pneumonic plague.

Two people have died from the highly contagious disease, an even more powerful brother of The Black Death – the bubonic plague believed to have wiped out a quarter of the population of Europe in the 14th Century.

Pneumonic plague is one of the most virulent and deadly diseases on earth, usually fatal within 24 hours.

It attacks the lungs and kills nearly everyone who catches it unless they get rapid treatment with antibiotics.

The videos I posted in #184 describe what may be happening better than anything I’ve found.  I think it is well worth watching in light of the recent events.

For efficiency, I’ll just be posting updates on the Pneumonic Plague Outbreak here.  At this point, there is an article about the current state of the matter, and an authoritative site for the prevention of spread and treatment of pneumonic plague.

If it’s the one I think it is, it is excellent.  You can find all of the video series here.  Very comprehensive, and a very credible source.
