Staying in Touch

  • Please feel free to use this article’s discussion board as a place to communicate, make plans, dinner arrangements, etc. but as always keep in mind that these discussions are viewable by the public. If you want to have a private discussion we recommend discussing in person with attendees at the event, or messaging privately.
  • Get social with us! If you don’t already have it, download the Instagram App and add Peak.Prosperity as a friend. Here we will post pictures and short videos to share with other members of the Tribe unable to attend. Remember to add the hashtags #peakprosperity and #polyfacefarm and be sure to tag us @Peak.Prosperity to whatever you post so everyone can see them online and join in the fun.
  • In the event of an emergency, please call Polyface Farms at (540) 885-3590.
  • Specific questions, please email Jeanne.

A Few Final Details and Reminders

  • The team at Polyface will provide ample ice water around the farm for your use, so please bring refillable water bottles.
  • If you need a reminder on the specific menu items at meals, please see our previous posting here.
  • If you need a reminder of the programming currently planned for this event, which will cover topics from boosting soil fertility to raising livestock, click here.
  • Joel and Polyface Farm are known for their libertarian approach to life. At this stage of COVID, they are leaving mask-wearing up to individual choice.  Much of the weekend will be spent outdoors on farm tours and demonstrations.
  • A list of recommended lodging options (including some that offer a Polyface Farm discount) can be found here.
  • As a reminder: this is NOT a Peak Prosperity-led event like our annual seminars — so there won’t be the typical presentation format by Chris. However, Chris does plan to make some prepared remarks at the Saturday cocktail hour as well as leave plenty of time for Q&A. But overall, this is a Polyface event being produced by Joel and team for the benefit of the Peak Prosperity tribe.
  • Still want to buy a ticket?  Peak Prosperity’s premium subscribers receive a 20% discount off of the $350/ticket price for this event. That’s a $70/ticket savings. If you’re not currently a premium subscriber, consider becoming one now by clicking here. If you purchase a monthly subscription for $30, you’ll then save more than 2x that per ticket on this event — plus enjoy PeakProsperity.com’s premium content.

Thanks to Attendees!

Are any tribe-sters looking to camp near Polyface?

Just wondering where, as I making this road trip on a shoestring budget and plan to sleep in a tent.

Considering the summer temperatures, you would be better off trying to find a couch surfing option. Sleeping outside in toasty summer temperatures has not been a favorite of mine. Under these conditions I get little sleep in a tent and regret camping out as it is difficult to get enough rest. Put out a call for a place to sleep and someone may help. There is also a couchsurfing organization. Never used it but you may find someone near Polyface to try.

    Best Regards

    Jim

    Great temps.

Lows in the 60s, high near 80. I must be a little warmer blooded than you are, because that’s not bad to me for camping.

Sadly, I can't attend. I'm a few thousand miles too far away.

I'd love to know if there is an update from polyface on growing chickens and rabbits together, see https://youtu.be/LbmjCN4T19o

Could someone ask for any insights they have since that video was made? Thanks.

Anyone need a carpool from downtown Staunton?

I'll be staying at an AirBnB on South Coalter Street in Staunton, driving my EV to and from Polyface every day. I have three available seats. PM me here and I can send you my cell number if you are interested.
