Chris & Adam "Sneak Peek" Presentation + Q&A in Sebastopol, CA - March 4 @ 7:00pm

Adam Taggart
By Adam Taggart on Tue, Feb 4, 2014 - 1:40pm

If you live in Northern California, come join Chris and me in Sebastopol on Tuesday, March 4th. And bring along at least one friend or family member you think would benefit from becoming more aware about the issues we discuss here at PeakProsperity.com.

Why?

Because we've been hard at work over the past 5 months creating new video material. And we have a new 1-hour "accelerated" version of the Crash Course we want to take for a test drive, with both seasoned and brand-new viewers.

We're taking over a movie screen at the Rialto Cinema in downtown Sebastopol, CA. After the viewing, Chris and I will field audience Q&A for as long the questions keep flowing. Have a question you've always wanted to ask us? Now's your chance.

Tickets are $12/person and can be purchased in advance via this link:

http://www.rialtocinemas.com/index.php?location=sebastopol&film=2014_crash

Tickets can also be purchased the night of at the door, provided the event doesn't sell out.

There are a number of good restaurants in walking distance (Hopmunk, Woodfour, Zazu, Forchetta Bastoni, Gypsy Cafe, BBQ Smokehouse, as well as a Whole Foods, to name a few) if you want to catch dinner beforehand.

Hope to see you there!

Adam,

Is Sebastopol the only west coast stop Chris will be making?

On this trip, yes

Chris is only in NorCal briefly as he's passing through to an engagement in another state.

He will be back later in the year and we may be able to set something else up then, as well.

Advanced Tickets?

Hey is there any way to purchase tickets in advance? I have to travel several hours to attend this and want to make sure I can make it in!

Yes, buying tickets in advance will be offered

Back -

Short answer: yes, you can book tickets in advance. Which I think is wise, as the theater seats 130 and, from early feedback received, I think could sell-out. I wouldn't want folks to drive a long distance and not be able to get in.

The theater is handling ticket collection, and I've asked them for guidance on where to direct advance-ticket purchasers. So I should have directions for you (and any other advance purchasers shortly).

And if it turns out the theater doesn't have a good system for advance sales, I'll just handle things personally.

Stay tuned.

cheers,

A

Later in the year

The theatre is a ways from Idaho, but am tempted as would enjoy attending an event with you and Chris.

How about you two make a trip to the great Northwest...  somewhere central like Boise, Idaho!   HA

Advance ticket sales now available

To those planning on coming to the "sneak peek" screening, followed by Q&A with Chris and Adam, on Tuesday, March 4th @7pm in Sebastopol, CA, tickets for the event can now be purchased in advance:

http://www.rialtocinemas.com/index.php?location=sebastopol&film=2014_crash

Purchasing in advance will guarantee you a seat in case the event sells out.

Don't forget to bring along someone new to this material!

anyone else having trouble?

I tried to buy tickets through the link. I got all the way to submitting my credit card info, and then an error page came up. No word on whether my order went through or not. My cred card company says the charge went through, but I have not received a confirmation email from Rialto. Anyone else having similar issues?

Edit: I called Rialto and they are looking into it.

Just got off the phone with the theater. They confirm the ticket purchase flow is working fine now.

Just invited a dozen people.....

.....and bought my tickets for Steve and I.  Same night as dive practice, so I will probably be rolling in late with wet hair.  But better late than never.

Looking awesome on the big screen

I just came from testing this new "accelerated" Crash Course video at the Rialto Theater.

Of course my perspective is 100% biased, but: it looks GREAT on the big screen.

Seeing it so polished, with updated data, new visuals, animations, and such a higher production quality - I think it's going to have much more impact for the first-time viewer than the old version. I'm very excited for this screening!

Thanks to those who have bought their tickets already. (Claire: given the dry NorCal winter, please bring as much moisture with you as you can!)

Buying in advance is a good idea, especially for those driving any distance. The theater holds ~130, so a sell-out is a real possibility.

Here's the flyer we've created for the event:

A little while longer

Sorry for the tease....

We want to incorporate feedback from this showing, as well as complete additional content production, before releasing the ACC ("Accelerated Crash Course") into the wild.

So it could be another month or so - but don't take that as a firm quote.

We knew this sneak peek would likely be catnip for fans of the "classic" version of the Crash Course. Forgive us for waiting until the go-to-market plan is fully in place before committing to details (which we promise to do when ready). We're working as fast as we can...

I have been trying to buy tix

I have been trying to buy tix through the website, but it has been crashing every time I go to the ticket ordering site (formovietickets.com). I may have ordered tickets, but the site crashed after I submitted my order.

I'm not sure what to do from here.

Green light to purchase tickets

I just came back from the theater. They confirmed their system was down this morning, but is back up and running now (I've just successfully gone through it).

Admittedly it's not the most intuitive interface...

See if this works for you:

  1. Click this link
  2. Select the number of tickets you want to buy (using the radio buttons at top right)
  3. Click 'Continue'
  4. Enter your payment info, then click 'Purchase Tickets'
