TODAY - Wed 1/30 Potluck get together with sustainable-focused folks

By FarmersWife on Wed, Jan 30, 2013 - 1:05pm

Today,( Wed Jan. 30th) the Petaluma Grange is hosting a community potluck at The Seed Bank. It's focus is to support small farmers, to education, to legistate, to build community and network.

It starts at 5:30 and will go until 7:30.  Stop on your way home from work!!! check it out and see what area's you can build your own personal resilience in working with others who care about the same things.

This historical group, orginating in the 1870's, The Grange, is in the process of rebuilding it's base, and is one of the fastest growing community groups as it's focus is on supporting the small farmer.  Out of the grange came the new "Cottage Food Bill" that protects the small guy's right to sell his products to his local community!

There will be music, food (bring a dish to share, not mandatory), and CHILDREN are welcome.  If you have never been to the Seed Bank in Petaluma, it is definately a place to check. It's located old downtown Petaluma, corner of E Washington St & N Petaluma Blvd.

Best of all, it's a place to connect with others, to share skills & information, and to create a future.

See ya there,

Farmer's Wife
