    Email Issues With Microsoft

Hotmail, Outlook, MSN & Live users please read
    by Adam Taggart

    Tuesday, March 8, 2016, 3:13 AM

It's recently come to our attention that email services associated with Microsoft (Hotmail, Outlook, MSN, Live) have started blocking the Peak Prosperity server that sends out our emails. So a number of you haven't received email from us for a week or more.

We don't know for certain why Microsoft started blocking us. We have heard from our IT firm that they recently have beefed up their spam defenses and our emails likely got caught in the tighter net (strange, though, since we've been sending thousand of newsletters to Microsoft accounts without trouble for years)

Once we realized what was going on, we reached out to Microsoft to alert them and work to rectify things. We're relieved to say that as of today, our email communications to our Microsoft customers should be restored.

If you're one of these affected users, please let us know in the Comments section below if you indeed successfully start receiving our emails again this week. For premium subscribers, you should be receiving one in the next 36 hours (as we'll be publishing a new Insider post tomorrow). For free users, your next email from us will likely be this coming weekend's newsletter.

We apologize to those impacted by this issue. And we thank you for your understanding and patience as we've scrambled to remedy the situation.

While it caught us by surprise, too, we do want to remind all of our readers that, at anytime, our most recent articles can always be found on the home page here at PeakProsperity.com. Even if your email inbox is having issues, you'll always be able to access our content by visiting us online.

    Untrusted Certificate

Not sure whether related or not but for some months now whenever I try to login to PP.com I have been getting an Untrusted Certicate warning and have had to add an exception to proceed to login.

Hotmail has changed since Feb 8th

Since Feb 8th, I noticed there is a shift/revamp to outlook for all hotmail subscribers – whatever that means technically. Shall keep a lookout for the incoming due email on the weekend and report here. Thanks, Adam!

    Same warning

I have recently been receiving an Untrusted Certificate warning as well.

Hopefully this was a minor technical error that has been resolved.

Delete the PP related CERTS from your browser and try again.  My login works fine from Chrome and Firefox.

    Untrusted Certificates Warning cont.

Correction: Not "whenever" but "sometimes" when I login I get the Untrusted Certificates warning. Today it has not been an issue.

It's not a big deal but just requires a few more mouse clicks to get into the site.

    Am using Firefox, btw.

    Good News

I just received word from one of our Hotmail users that he just received our latest Insider post in his email inbox.

So it does indeed seem the fix we worked out with Microsoft is working.

Thanks, again, to all for your patience & support while we've worked to resolve this issue.

    Microsloth Is Evil

I run my own SMTP (email) server. I pretty much know what I'm doing, and all the online SMTP testers give me good marks.

However, at random intervals, all mail to and from Hotmail users quits with no explanation, no bounce messages, nothing.

I did manage to discover at one point that Microsoft was blocking my SMTP server. I asked them to stop, and they said I was "too small" and that they were in the process of blocking all non-major email servers. I asked them if they wanted to discuss it with my lawyer, and suddenly, email started working again.

Microsoft: Just Say No. When someone has that kind of power, they don't deserve your business.

    Email

Great to have received your latest weekly newsletter yesterday. The last one to arrive in my inbox was on Feb 7th New Zealand time. Was kinda wondering what had happened. Maybe time to consider another email provider. Thanx PP, love your work.

Gmail seems to be pretty decent. That's my emergency backup.

Have you checked your system clock? If it is out-of-sync, a lot of certificates appear bad.

But I get that from time to time, and I'm sync'd up with time.apple.com.

    blocked email on MSN

This is the first email i have received in several weeks.  However, it did not occur to me that the emails were being blocked.  Glad the problem with Microsoft is resolved.
