seed germanating tip

Hi, every spring I germinate seeds to plant in my garden. The last time i tried this I sprouted the seeds on a moist paper towel covered with a plastic bag. Although the paper towel works great, the little plant roots tend to get tangled in the paper towel fibers so the roots break off when trying to plant the germinated seeds. I solved this by using coffee filter papers as a substitute for the moist paper towel. It takes 4 to 6 filter papers to cover the plate and the second layer to cover the seeds, but not one root got caught in the paper abd all of the seeds were planted.

Best Regards

Jim
