Repairing dead Apple Time Capsule

Here is a link to a website that tells you everything you need to know to fix a dead Apple Time Capsule. Due to a design flaw these things usually fail after 18 to 24 months of use because the power supply overheats and cooks its capacitors.  The site shows you how to fix the powersupply and modify the case and fan to provide proper ventilation so the problem does not happen again.  If fixed mine and while I had it apart I also upgraded the drive from 512 GB to 3 TB.  It now works flawlessly and runs much cooler than it did before.  Here is the link to the wonderful site. http://www.fackrell.me.uk/index.html

Time capsule fix A1204

Hi I have discovered recently that if your first generation time capsule does not power up its likely to just be a blown capacitor(s) in the power supply.  Don't be talked into buying a new one ax this can be fixed for only a few pounds.   Found a diet that supplies all you need, very inexpensive and gives you step by step video instructions.  Perfect.  http://www.timecapsulefix.com
