How to make the top 50 industrial machines available to a community

Just discovered the following resource describing an initiative to create the top 50 industrial machines required to build a civilisation using open source techniques.

The idea is to make communities much more self-sufficient by providing them with the blueprints and "how to" guides to build these machines themselves using their local materials. For example, one machine is a 3D printer (useful for making small parts), another is an extractor of aluminium from clay.

The list is impressive and might spark interest here on the forums.
