Everything Is Rigged: The Biggest Price-Fixing Scandal Ever (Ivo M.)

Interest-rate swaps are a tool used by big cities, major corporations and sovereign governments to manage their debt, and the scale of their use is almost unimaginably massive. It's about a $379 trillion market, meaning that any manipulation would affect a pile of assets about 100 times the size of the United States federal budget.

How The Boston Bombing Is Already Being Exploited To Introduce Tyranny (Phil H.)

The narrative of the event has changed multiple times in only a few days, following a hailstorm of conflicting observations from the government and the establishment-run media. The “villain” of the original plotline was clearly meant to be “rightwing extremism” as numerous mainstream talking heads, led by federal agency inferences, began repeating the “homegrown right wing terrorist” meme everywhere. This meme was partly abandoned after the alternative media and the Liberty Movement began its own investigation, revealing a large federal presence on the scene, including military Civil Support Teams often tied to the DHS and Northcom, as well as the witnesses who observed what on-scene officials called “training exercises” during the marathon.

COT Data and Silver (GE Christenson)

The Commitment of Traders data is published every Friday. It lists the reportable positions of the commercial and non-commercial traders for silver contracts on the COMEX.

STOP! Yes, I know"

How to get the US economy going again (adam)

The only solution for the dire circumstances of the US is a return to gold as the international money on the part of the US. The result of this measure will be an immediate rebirth of manufacturing in the US, with a return to full employment and prosperity...

Debt, Growth and the Austerity Debate (Ivo M.)

Last week, three economists at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, released a paper criticizing our findings. They correctly identified a spreadsheet coding error that led us to miscalculate the growth rates of highly indebted countries since World War II. But they also accused us of “serious errors” stemming from “selective exclusion” of relevant data and “unconventional weighting” of statistics — charges that we vehemently dispute. (In an online-only appendix accompanying this essay, we explain the methodological and technical issues that are in dispute.)

Seeing Red (jdargis)

At least five times in the last eight months, President Obama has declared that any such use of chemical weapons would cross “a red line.” These are fighting words, or very close to them. If a president describes a possible action as “crossing a red line,” then does nothing about it, no future declaration of red lines—no threat to respond with force to some horrible action—will be taken seriously by anyone, friend or foe.

AgustaWestland unveils world's first electric tilt rotor aircraft (Arthur Robey)

As with other tilt rotor aircraft, Project Zero’s two rotors can be tilted up to 90 degrees. This allows it to take off and land vertically and to hover, like a helicopter, while also flying forward with the speed and efficiency of a fixed-wing aircraft. Each of the rotors are driven by their own electric motor, which is powered by rechargeable batteries – technical details are sparse at this time. When parked on the ground, those rotors can be tilted to “windmill” in the oncoming wind, charging the batteries as they do so.

Alberta exploring at least two oil pipeline projects to North (westcoastjan)

“We have been approached by the government of the Northwest Territories and we are engaged in a conversation with them because they have immense resources as well and are about to take responsibility for their own resources,” Ken Hughes, Alberta’s Minister of Energy told the National Post.

Syrian War Forces Oil Refining into the Fields (James S.)

The video here shows a group of teenagers outside of the city of Aleppo, tending fires underneath large vats of crude oil that they are heating in order to siphon off the usable by products into jerry cans.

BP Oil Spill Far Worse Than We Knew – These Are The Facts They Don’t Want You To Know (Ben Johnson)

The report released by the GAP outlines exactly what the ‘miracle dispersant’ did to not only the ecosystem, already suffering from the 210 million gallons of oil being pumped into it, but to the cleanup workers as well. The damage to the fragile gulf ecosystem was unprecedented according to the report. The combination of the oil and dispersant caused seafood mutations, nearly 80% decline in seafood catch, and massive die-offs of microscopic life-forms that are essential to the food chain. Damage to the cleanup workers was even more horrifying. Some of the health problems include bloody urine, heart problems, memory loss, kidney and liver damage and the list goes on.

Angela Merkel should have read the news at Peak Prosperity

Here's the link to the quote from Angela Merkel

"European Union leaders were in uncharted territory after Greece touched off the debt crisis, she said. “None of us expected to find ourselves in such a situation. I might add that the markets also didn’t predict it.”"

After Money.

The Strzeleki Stringbusters charge no entrance fee and all musicians are allowed to join in, from doctors to derros.

Apparently their sessions really go off every friday night. Their leader said something along the lines that "money ruins everything."

Their motto is "Music that makes you smile."

Something about True Value.

Re: How to get the US economy going again

Regarding the "How to get the US economy going again" article and videos 1-3 on reintroducing Silver coins, this man is wrong to give the government the power to determine the value of the coin on the fly.   Did FDR revaluing gold for the government's benefit help?  No.   There is no reason to adjust the value of a coin if inflation is low (no money printing).  So imports are throttled when there is no gold to pay for them and consequently product exports must be used for payment which might create temporary inflation in the  country as there is less internal supply.
