Daily Digest 8/5 - "Inflate Or Die," Distracting The Public From Economic Decline

Geopolitical Tensions Are Designed To Distract The Public From Economic Decline (thc0655)

These scenarios are taken at face value by many because, unfortunately, most people have short attention spans. If an observer in 2007 was to be transported 10 years into the future, in 2017 they would find a world in dramatic and horrifying decline. The shock would be overwhelming. Ask an observer today what they think of the state of the world and they might not see much to be concerned about. The human mind becomes easily acclimated to crisis over time. We are resilient in this way, but also weak, because we forget the way things should be in order to deal with the way things are.

Only Ten Years After the Last Financial Crisis the Banks Are At It Again (thc0655)

Because history so often repeats itself, let me analyze further. Andrew Jackson stands out in the century and a half of our independent history not merely because he was two-fisted, not merely because he fought for the people's rights, but because, through his career, he did as much as any man in our history to increase, on the part of the voters, knowledge of public problems and an interest in their solution. Following the fundamentals of Jefferson, he adhered to the broad philosophy that decisions made by the average of the voters would be more greatly enduring for, and helpful to, the Nation than decisions made by small segments of the electorate representing small or special classes endowed with great advantages of social or economic power.

STUNNING RESULTS: Four Top Primary Silver Miners Production Plummets (yogmonster)

Hecla suffered the largest decline in silver production by falling 34% due to a mining strike at its Lucky Friday Mine in Idaho. Production at the Lucky Friday Mine has been suspended since a workers strike began at the mine on March 13th. Furthermore, Hecla’s Green Creek Mine in Alaska saw its silver production decline from 2.1 Moz Q2 2016 to 1.9 Moz Q2 2017 due to falling ore grades.

“Inflate or Die,” Peak Silver and Gold’s Coming Breakout (GE Christenson)

Debt and M3 rapidly increase, while the economy and population slowly increase. The currency supply is continually inflated. The result is much higher prices for most goods and services, including wages, food stamps, gold, cigarettes, cars, gasoline, medical care, college tuition and many more.

Kevin Myers (thc0655)

Broad brush-strokes, to be sure. But broad brush-strokes are often the way that history paints its gaudier, if more decisive, chapters. Japan, China, Russia, Korea, Poland, Germany, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia in the 20th century have endured worse broad brush-strokes than almost any part of Africa. They are now — one way or another — virtually all giving aid to or investing in Africa, whereas Africa, with its vast savannahs and its lush pastures, is giving almost nothing to anyone, apart from AIDS.

Peco bill to hook Chesco man's solar array into grid: $45k (June C.)

Contrary to what some believe, Peco spokesman Doug Oliver said, the utility encourages solar. But it needs time to get the distribution system caught up. Oliver said Peco has received 5,500 requests for solar installations across its entire system and more than 93 percent have been approved.

“It’s popular, and we recognize it’s something our customers are trying to do,” he said. “We want to be responsive as possible.”

David Stockman Warns Trump "The Swamp Is Undrainable" (thc0655)

What will be the trigger that finally sends the establishment after Trump?

Ultimately, the hammer of fiscal crisis and a crashing stock market will break any remaining loyalty of the GOP elders as they smell the 2018 elections turning into a replay of the rout of 1974.

Choosing Your Ride (Robert W.)

Let's look at these points in detail, with this key question in mind: What's the best transport choice for an individual American who wants to make the necessary trips but also wants to conserve fuel and reduce emissions- without moving house, without selling or trading cars, using the existing road network and existing transit systems?

Obviously, most of us need access to an automobile for the daily necessities of life. A few can get by with walking or cycling. A minority, in major metropolitan areas, can use extensive public transit systems with frequent, reliable service. Outside those areas, many cities have transit systems, usually bus lines, providing limited service.

Richard Dolan: Documentary series on "False Flags"

A researcher that I really like, Richard Dolan, has an educational video series on Gaia network on the use of what are currently called MISO, Military Information Support Operations, formerly called PsyOps. These are unconventional warfare techniques designed to "influence, convince or confuse" the public on an issue in pursuit of a specific military objective.  Such unconventional techniques are used along side traditional military actions of guns, tanks and bombs, in what is now termed hybrid warfare.

He cites the military training publication from 1950's on the use of 3 categories of Psychological Operations classified as white, grey and black.  These same categories and exact same language are included in current textbooks on unconventional warfare.  The government target its own population with these techniques.

  • White--Statements by governments designed to influence public thinking.  These may true or may be lies.
  • Grey--Statement from non-government actors, which are surreptitiously coming from a government source.  For example, a government friendly news agency in bed with, on on the payroll of, the government.  Statements may appear to be objective news reporting.
  • Black--Staged events, usually violent, dramatic and traumatic to the population, staged by a government (or group) on its own people, that is then blamed on someone else.  Black Ops are done in pursuit of specific military objective.

Here is the brief introduction.  The series requires joining Gaia, for $20.  For those unfamiliar with the long history of MISO, this series is highly educational.  In the first episode he explains the cardinal features of a Black Op to make their identification easier.  A very handy check list!

Jobs Friday - More Fluff Reporting

As Mish reported, the July Jobs Report showed a loss of 54K Full-Time jobs.   And working even one hour per week qualifies as a "job",   August should be interesting as many car plants retool or close even longer.
