Assange and the Disemboweling of the Official Narratives

I am greatly distressed by the take down of Assange.  For me, this is personal:  I suspect that I will die in much the same way--agents of the state will target those of us who do not believe the official narratives using young, but trusting, police officers whose personal belief is that they are preserving law and order and defending America.
Charles Hugh Smith does an awesome assessment of the "crimes" of Julian Assange and the efforts to take him down.  The story starts earlier with Hillary's question "Can't we just drone him or something?" to the pressuring of those who would offer Assange asylum to the creation of factitious rape charges.  A full-court-press against an "enemy of the state."

It is not nice to threaten the fabricated stories of the powers that be!

Assange and the Unforgivable Sin of Disemboweling Official Narratives
    April 12, 2019
There is really only one unforgivable sin in the political realm, and that's destroying the official narrative by revealing the facts of the matter. This is why whistleblowers who make public the secret machinery of the elaborately artful lies underpinning all official narratives are hounded to the ends of the Earth....
The single most damaging revelation to all the elaborate lies that make up official narratives is the truth revealed in official emails, documents and conversations. This is why virtually every document and correspondence is now "classified," so anyone releasing even a mundane scrap can be sentenced to rot in federal prison.
In a recent C-SPAN interview, author Nomi Prins explained the incredible difficulty of accessing papers in presidential libraries now due to virtually everything being classified. Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) applications must be filed, and researchers must wait years to gain access to routine correspondence that was freely available to all a decade or so ago.
Official paranoia has a 100% correlation with the amount of damage done to official narratives by any leaks of the facts of the matter. What are they so afraid of? Here's the dynamic in play: the more fragile the narrative, the greater the dependence on half-truths and lies, the greater the official urgency to crush all whistleblowers and maintain a Stasi-like vigilance against any murmurs of dissent or doubt.
Any doubt [in the official narrative] is extremely dangerous, as if even a single thread is pulled loose, the entire fabric of ginned-up statistics, false assurances, half-truths and outright lies unravels. Once the Pentagon Papers revealed the facts of the war in Vietnam, support for the official narrative collapsed essentially overnight.
In the immortal words of Jean-Claude Juncker, when it becomes serious you have to lie, and it's now serious all the time.
The entire global status quo is on the cusp of the S-Curve decline phase. Hence the vulnerability to disruption of its official narratives ....

The Same People Behind the Iraq War Lies Pushed Russian Collusion
When someone is caught red handed lying to you, it is important to remember exactly who they are.  Bill Kristol, Max Boot, David Frum, Elliot Cohen.

The story of how an "opposition research" contract to Fusion GPS was commissioned by the HRC group of allies to produce an imaginative pack of unverified dirt (tranlation: lies) and this "Steele Dossier" was then passed through several channels into the US intelligence and law enforcement agencies and media as fact, is quite a story.
    Lies became "evidence."
The story was taken up and repeated by the media where citizens who still trust the MSM became frightened that Russia was taking over the United States.  This continued without interuption for 2 years.  And it was all fake.

Very similar where Douglas Feith's group, installed in the Office of Special Plans of the Pentagon by Rumsfeld and Paul Wolfowitz replaces all of the regular career Pentagon analysts working there with political appointees, dedicated to launching a War on Iraq.  See Lt. Col Karen Kwiatkowski's reports. (and here) This group modified, twisted, cherry-picked and fabricated the WMD lies and "terrorist" description of Saddam Hussein which was enthusiastically spread in congress, to a gullible GW Bush, and to the public.
    Lies became "evidence."
