45 min Crash Course on DVD

Has there been any news on the 45 minute version of the Crash Course on DVD? I have watched the Crash Course myself but the 3 hour version is just too long to show to family and friends.

Special Edition Crash Course DVD Now Available

Dear @profile_first,

An all-new 3-Disc Special Edition DVD set of the Crash Course is now available for purchase!

I spent five years of my life researching and then developing the Crash Course - then made the decision to give it away for free. It is still free online and will remain that way for as long as I can afford to keep the lights on.

Why? Because I am 100% committed to changing the story before it’s too late.

A second tool is the Basic Edition that we’ve made available as a free download and also as a low-cost single DVD. Now we are offering a third tool, a new and improved 3-Disc Special Edition DVD, complete with bonus material and information.

You've sent a lot of feedback in response to the Basic Edition DVD. Many of you observed that the Crash Course is overwhelming if watched in one sitting. I agree - so we have divided it up onto three separate discs to make it easy to watch or present. We've also added live video segments of me introducing and then summarizing each disc.

We've also created a Presenter’s Pack as a companion to this edition of the DVD, offering tips on hosting a viewing, study questions for discussion sessions, and ideas for spreading the word.

Together, these improvements will greatly enhance your ability to engage friends, family and your local community in a showing of the Crash Course.

The Special Edition is available for sale now at a price of $30 for one set of three discs and booklet, with bulk rates and discounts available for charities, libraries, and non-profit organizations.

An international PAL version will be available shortly. I'll send an email to announce it.

Click here to go to the online store.

As always, I want to thank you for your time and support. Together, by continuing to spread the word, we can make a difference! » Read more

Your input needed: Who else should receive a DVD?

Hi there,

I have been having Megan send out complimentary copies of the new DVD to a variety of potential allies along with a nice letter printed on some heavy duty resume paper.

Who else should be on this list?

Thom Hartmann
Amy Goodman
Jim Sinclair
Representative Ron Paul
Representative Roscoe Bartlett

Barry Ritholtz
Richard Rainwater
Jon Stewart
Stephen Colbert

Even better than a suggestion would be a suggestion plus an address.

How to Make Your Own Crash Course DVD

If you have a DVD burner on your computer, you can make your own Crash Course DVDs. If you already have a copy of the Basic Edition DVD, just use the software that came with your computer to copy it as many times as you like. The Crash Course Basic Edition disc is not copy-protected the way DVDs containing mass-marketed movies are, so you should have no trouble making copies with standard off-the-shelf software. » Read more

The Crash Course is now available on DVD (at cost)

Dear [user],

I’m writing to share some exciting news with you: We’ve just released the DVD version of the Crash Course.

Here’s the fun part; nobody is making any money on this. First, we are so passionate about getting this Crash Course into as many hands as possible that we’ve forgone making even one cent on any disk and have relied on donations and our own money to fund the mastering costs.

Second, we have a professional DVD replicator who has generously offered to sell a single batch run of 10,000 discs AT COST.

This means only $0.85 cents a copy (plus S&H) if ordered in blocks of 30 or more. Each DVD will come in a movie box with a gorgeous, professionally designed cover. » Read more
