Duckweed in Western Kentucky

I raise duckweed for pet foods in Western Kentucky. Duckweed can be used for a wide variety of products and services (such as wastewater nutrient remediation). While I personally am not focused on duckweed forb bioenergy, there are many who are. I would like to offer my duckweed farm for classes on the topic of raising duckweed for animal/fish food production if there is enough interest.

What cold-weather preparations are you making right now?

Just wondering what those in the area might be doing to protect against this cold weather we are having?

I have chickens and wonder if there is anything I ought to be doing for them right now besides making sure they have plenty of food, a dry coop to sleep in, and that their water doesn't freeze. They seem to be doing fine, but sometimes I am scared at what I might find when i go to check on them in the morning and it is soooooo cold...

Hello, I am going to be building a home. Small to start , I do not want to have to permit as I have been studying for awhile on so many topics about this gov. rules and regulations that they would like me to believe I should follow. My dilemma is I'm not quite sure how to go about the process and procedure. As My goal is to build a home for myself, my macaw and the greenhouse and use the  aquaponics system to produce organic produce for myself and possibly to sell to the community.

Welcome.  This forum is to provide an anonomous place to meet like minded people.  Then take it offline if applicable.  An objective is to prepare yourself and your family in case of a currency collapse.  If you are into mathematics or statistics, then you know what we are up against.  The "Amero" (or a new currency) will be implemented after our own currency collapses (likely scenario).  However, "when" it is implemented will be very carefully orchestrated to be when we are all out of resources.  Our objective is to not panic
