The New Special Edition 3-Disc Crash Course DVD Ready to Order!

Monday, March 2, 2009, 5:42 PM

I am thrilled to announce that, after a tremendous effort on many fronts, we have a new 3-disc DVD of the Crash Course to offer for sale. There is much to be proud of here on the part of the editor (Rawn Fulton of Searchlightfilms.com), who shot some great video and really worked hard to assure that sound levels and image continuity were matched and balanced throughout.

My hope is that sales of this DVD will pay back the investment required to produce it and then help to support the ongoing mission of this site.

When you purchase one or more of these DVD sets you will be supporting this site, its users and volunteers, 4 part time employees (which should be full-time and 10x that amount!), and all of our plans and dreams to create a tipping point of awareness about the critical set of issues that surround the Three Es for people all across the globe.

The New and Improved DVD is Ready

With your help, we can create the tipping point of awareness we need

We listened to your feedback and worked hard to produce a higher quality, special edition 3 DVD set of the Crash Course designed to support group viewings.

You also have more shipping options (lower costs!), and we are using a new company that we are quite happy to be working with.  You'll like them, too.  Click here to order.

What’s New?

  • Live video introductions and summaries by Chris Martenson to put a face to the material and provide some framing for each section. Scroll down to view a short video of some clips of this material.
  • Three-disc format.  The Crash Course material has been reorganized and separated into three discs, each less than 1.5 hours, to better support group showings.  Imagine a group showing of about 2 hours, where 30 minutes is reserved for Q&A (either of your own design or using the questions found in the Presenter's Pack).

  • A 16 page Presenter’s Pack that includes:
    • How to present and what to discuss
    • Study questions (by chapter and/or section)
    • Spreading the word
    • Tips and advice on hosting a house party
    • Tips and advice on hosting a community presentation

The Crash Course has changed lives and helped thousands of people adjust their thinking in time to avoid economic hardship. Its value is captured in these testimonials:

Your Crash Course was worth vastly more to me than the enclosed check could ever represent. Using the principles presented, I decided to move from equities into cash back in July of 2008, thereby avoiding the worst of the subsequent stock market and financial crash. ~ Charles

This is extremely powerful work. I have never seen this message, in either written essay or video, delivered in such a crystal-clear and convincing form. ~ Mike

The Crash Course makes me feel smarter!   ~ Derek

You can order the DVD today for:

  • $30 for one
  • $75 for three ($15 savings)
  • $199 for ten ($101 savings)

Re: The New Special Edition 3-disc Crash Course DVD Ready ...

Just a couple of questions on this one:

1. Is this a purchase only or will it also be made available via P2P downloading (bittorent) like the last DVD?

2. What is the copyright status on this?  Is it open for copying to give away to others or are we allowed to show it only to others?

I'm not trying to obtain everything for free as quality work and effort should be rewarded, I'd just like to know...

Thanks Chris,

This will be a big help in disseminating the "facts".

Re: The New Special Edition 3-disc Crash Course DVD Ready ...

Maveri,

thanks for asking the clarifying questions.

  1. No, this version will only be available for purchase in physical form.  I put quite a bit of money into this and am hoping to recoup that, and maybe then some to help support producing the new material I have stuck in my head.
  2.  I have not explicitly put out the call to copy this one like we did for the first one.  So the short answer here is "no", for now.

But thank you for asking!

Also, remember that the "original" DVD is always available for downloading and distribution.

This new version is a much, much higher quality and is MUCH more conducive for showing and sharing in group/public settings.

I hope people realize that and use it in the same way that I have (to great success) - to find local people who share your concerns and are ready to take the next steps.  In that regard, this is a really important tool and I hope I have correctly judged the interest in having such a tool.

Entirely reasonable

Fair enough. I just wanted clarification because it's one that I would have liked to get to my family in another country (who don't have the means of purchasing it). Looks like I'll be ordering another one (I ordered yesterday) and they can have it as a birthday gift - after all, it's better than half the rubbish people get as gifts these days anyhow :-)

Yes, they have the previous one and have been sharing it with selected folks in their area.

I've produced home videos in high definition and I know the amount of time that goes into a simple production yet alone 3 DVD's worth!

Knowing a bit about the time involved in making a quality production means I have no qualms at all about paying for a good quality piece of work and lets' face it - this stuff is better than any advice you'll get from the financial sector/stock brokers these days anyhow!

I think so -  people out there are confused and dazed about what's going on. They are loosing money, loosing jobs, loosing faith in the systems around them and they are looking for where to turn. they are sceptical of 'advice' because these days it comes with strings attached. That is why I take the advice and direction from yourself and others on this site because the people here don't have a financial interest in seeing people jump this way or that - this type of impartial advice is sorely needed in a world that has lost connectivity even with the 'folks next door'.

Once upon a time people used to strike up a conversation about the weather as an ice-breaker. These days, a way to begin is to talk about the financial situation in the world and your DVD's are a perfect tool to engage them with.

And thank you for responding with clarification

G'day

I have ordered my copy.

An Australian Dolllar is only only worth US63.9c, so it is a lot more expensive for us down here. I firmly believe that it is worth every cent.

I will have an interesting time showing it at our next local social meeting.

I am in my early 50's with plenty of skills, but no job and no money. The next few years will be very interesting.

Regards

Chris

Dear Chris,

Is there a PAL version of your DVD available?  I think our European friends could use some common sense as well. I for one, will probably give away 5 of the 10 I am planning to purchase to my friends in Hungary.

It would be great to have a PAL version as well.

Thanks, in advance,

Balazs from Canada

G'day

I haven't got mine yet. I was going to give it another week or 2.

My concern is that it does not show up in the orders section of my profile so I do not know if the order went through OK.

Regards

Chris
