    A Lot To Celebrate!

    A fantastic seminar & a new website
    by Adam Taggart

It continues to be a BUSY week for Peak Prosperity…

Last weekend, we had an amazing learning & bonding experience with the 150 PP tribe members who came to our annual seminar in beautiful northern California.

And over the past 24 hours, we’ve migrated the PP website over to a new — and much better for us — technology platform (if you want to know what changes & improvements to expect, read this).

So, bear with us over the next few days as we clean up the bugs from our site launch while dealing with an extreme sleep deficit. Hopefully we’ll be at a good state with the website by Friday so that we can then sleep for several days straight…

But in the meantime, I wanted to share some of the initial feedback we’re receiving from the folks who attended last weekend’s seminar. The survey results are the most positive we’ve ever seen, making it easy to declare the recent seminar our best one EVER!

Here are just a few of the comments attendees have shared over the past few days:

I had a great weekend. The conference really exceeded all of my expectations. I very much appreciate all of Chris and Adam’s efforts. Well done!

The comprehensiveness of the whole program was a highlight for me. It was well executed and had a flow that was easy to follow. The speakers were excellent and the presentation was adaptable when it needed to be. The ability to interact with the other people in the group made it a more intimate conference venue and that was appreciated as I was by myself and also was a first time participant. Thank you.

This was a fantastic conference with lots of interesting things to explore and reflect further!  It was really well run and well paced.  Thanks so much for the tremendous amount of work you put in to pull this off!

Many highlights! But will single out having the financial experts onstage. Super. Also meeting with New Harbor on Sunday was a major event for me and my wife. Mingling with like-minded others was so affirming. Overall the action-item orientation of the weekend is very special. I have long moved past “what’s going wrong” and getting to actions helps me sleep better!

It was an excellent seminar…we will definitely be going next year so let us know the dates as far in advance as possible so we can get it on our calendars.

Delightful discussions with new friends. The idea that my concerns/priorities were ‘normal’ completely freaked me out. I actually COULD talk about some of plans/priorities and discovered that other folks were thinking along the same lines. I also had some nice discussions with the harbor financial people, and they were finishing my sentences with my own priorities before I could even spell them out! Very cool!

I think it’s important to note how much more one can gain from this seminar by attending more than once, preferably in consecutive years. Setting a 12 month goal list to complete or at least apply considerable effort to before next year’s seminar really helped me.

I valued everything: Chris’ presentations, opportunities to talk with other attendees and to find new PPers to join our local group, all the capital presentations, the planned social outings — and the locale can’t be beat!

THANK YOU! I appreciate all the hard work and effort that went into providing a great experience for participants.

And just to offer a reminder, for the first time ever, we recorded the entire seminar weekend. So, in addition to the website migration, we’re also hard at work editing three days’ worth of video footage.

If you’re one of the many folks who weren’t able to make the event but wanted to, we’re still taking pre-orders for the replay video of the full seminar. You can place your pre-order by clicking on the blue button below:

It’s an exciting time here at Peak Prosperity. There’s an awful lot of good stuff going on (except sleep!).

And we’re up to even more  than what I’ve mentioned here, some of which we shared with the folks who were at the seminar. More on all that coming soon…

cheers,
Adam

    Great Job!

    Hi Adam,

So good to hear how well the seminar went!  I would like to pre-order the video; but the price was previously advertised as $225, not $295, until 5/3.  If the lower price is still available, please let me know.  Thank you!

    Try Again

    Thanks for flagging, Dave.

Try clicking the blue button again. It should give you the $225 price now.

(looks like today’s site launch pushed the 5/3 price out early)

    Getting closer

The team continues to address the issues.

Hopefully we’ll be down to really minor stuff by tomorrow.  Thanks for your patience everyone.

I, for one, am super excited to finally have a speedy, responsive site that will allow us to offer a superior experience.

No way to “thumbs up” anymore?

Instead, I’d settle for the ability to attach the sound of hands clapping, or lips making the mocking “raspberry” sound.

    Thumbs Up - and Down

I second thc0655. The ‘thumbs-up’ provided useful feedback. Twice in the past I have asked for a ‘thumbs-down’ button so we can send raspberries as well as kudos

Sorry we missed the conference. Hopefully next year. Any idea how long the video production will take?

Please No Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down System !

I have found over the years that message boards that don’t employ a thumbs up or down voting system tend to be less contentious. Why? I believe when a person post a comment whether you agree or disagree things tend to get a little more heated when the poster sees they didn’t receive enough likes so they start liking another posters comments that agrees with him or her. Then they typically post again to defend their original position and will see how many likes they received.

When likes/dislikes are absent after the initial flurry of back and forth comments, things seem to die down. I’ve always disliked the “Thumbs Voting System”

    Travis –

We are busily at work editing the hours of footage recorded (3 days’ worth!).

We’re creating a playlist containing videos of all of the individual presentations from the seminar. Rather than wait until all of the videos have been edited, we’ll be adding each video to the playlist as we complete it.

That way, folks can get started watching the first few videos and the rest will soon follow.

We expect to have those first few videos loaded into the playlist by next week. We’ll send those who have purchased access to the playlist at that time so they can get started watching.

    cheers,
    Adam

I would prefer no thumbs-down also.

There is a risk that an unpopular viewpoint will be *shouted-down* when that viewpoint contains something that needs hearing.  It is already too easy for us humans to react from the limbic system and reject something without examination that rubs us the wrong way.

A bunch of thumbs down votes legitimatizes this low thoughtfulness behavior for the herd.

I’m giving sand_puppy’s post above a virtual “thumbs up”.

    I second!

    I second Time2Help’s statement about Sand_puppy’s point. So, I guess that’s a double-thumbs up about not having thumbs-down.

In celebration of the new site and seminar

I just came across this today…fits right into the PP 8-forms framework, and drives home the knowledge capital part quite well.

    How To Post Images

Great news! We’ve fixed the bug preventing folks from loading images into their comments.

    Here’s how to do it:

#1: First, log out of PeakProsperity.com. Then log back in. (This is 1-time step, just to clear your account of any complicating vestiges of the previous issue)

#2: Go to the ‘Post New Comment’ form at the bottom of any article.

#3: Click the “Add Media” button, immediately below the Subject Line.

    Enjoy!

Comments do seem to need work

I’m on a mobile; maybe that just isn’t up  to speed. But things I notice:

    (1) though I can see the comment topics, I can’t see the comments themselves anywhere, without clicking through to the main comment link.

    (2) I can post a new comment– but reply doesn’t seem to work.

    (3) new comment paging used to work sporadically; but I could always append “/?page=xx to get to any given page of recent comments. That doesn’t work anymore either.

Maybe this new format will be much better, once we get used to the changeover. But for now, it feels like the site has been badly emptied of utility.

Once the bugs are ironed out...

…suspect this will end up being a great improvement.

    Give it some time.

    daily commentary

While there are definitely a number of things that need ironing out, posting my charts in my daily commentary is a whole lot nicer than it was before.  At the old site, it would take literally a minute per chart to upload.  Seriously.  A minute.  Per chart.  Now it is perhaps 10 seconds.  Given my love of charts, for me, that’s a revolution!

    Keyword Search issue?

    Hi Chris and Adam-

I tried doing a keyword search on the new website, but it seems like the only results I get are from the Daily Digest, no matter what search terms I use.  Has anyone else had problems with the keyword search?
