As part of my usual routine, I read the completion reports for new wells in the mid-continent states. It has been apparent for a year or two that horizontal drilling technology has changed the game of oil and gas production in the U.S. In addition to the large new natural gas reserves being found in shale formations, a great deal of new gas, rich in liquid condensates, and new oil as well, is being recovered from "tight" sands. Many of these low permeability formations have been found over the years, but until now it has not been economical to exploit them.

If you have done your research it is evident that the root of all our present financial problems go back to the creation of the Federal Reserve System. The only way we can stop our monetary decline is to eliminate the FRS. Does anyone have any ideas that they would like to share. I would very much like to hear them. In discussing different problems you to will see that it all goes back to you know who.  

Here is an honest assessment of what's going on with the Occupy Wall Street protest by someone who has been part of it for, it seems, at least several days.  It was forwarded to an email list I monitor by a friend of the writer.  If is assessment is correct, it's important to pay attention to this movement as it could lead to all sorts of big and unpredictable changes - some of them positive and some not (think about the response of those in high places if this movement grows enough to pose a serious threat to the status quo).

I've read all sorts of articles, etc. on financial strategies in this new era of uncertainy, etc.

Curious, I'd like to hear what some of you are doing with your money. Particuarlly, percentages such as

30% gold/silver, 25% cash, etc, etc. And reasons based upon your outlook ?
