If you are into abolishing/replacing FED. Be Strong. Inform Yourself.

I am proudly anti FED (federal reserve, private central bank), I am not an anarchist by any means, I believe in rule of law, but I also believe in sound monetary system.

Imagine my surprise when I found I am on surveillance list, which bothers me because it is further waste of money by our debt loving government.

Redefining prosperity and the fallacy of growth

I'm an environmental writer and online publisher. I disovered Chris Marenson's work through a film by Dave Gardners called "Growthbusters"

I've read several books on our current economic model of infinite growth and have written the following essay, which is a finalist submission to win accreditation and expenses to travel to and cover the Rio+20 Earth Summit in June.

I appreciate any comments and shares of the post:

Redefining prosperity and the fallacy of growth

Thanks!

Lifestraw personal water purifier

I thought you guys would be interested in my latest find.  I was at a gun show in Texas and came across a guy selling the "Lifestraw" made by a Swiss company called Vestergard Frandsen.  The guy was drinking from a fish bowl full of some nasty looking water.  I thought it would be a perfect addition to my bug out bag and for $20 i couldn't pass it up.  It won all sorts of awards back in 2005 including invention of the year by time magazine.  Anyways, I thought that you guys would be interested in this product.  Check it out.

Nominal or Net Credit Default Swaps

I keep getting different answers on this question. as to whether it is the nominal or net amount of CDS that counts.  Greece has around $70 B nominal Credit Default Swaps (CDS) and $3B net CDS.  In all likelihood if Greece passes the law requirinng 100% participation if they only get 50% this should trigger a credit event.

Bank Of America Dumps $75 Trillion In Derivatives On U.S. Taxpayers With Federal Approval

I had heard this had happened last year in the local paper but had let it slip my mind.  Someone may have already posted it and I missed it, but I thought it was important enough to put on here again.

UK transfers $15 trilion to HSBC

This is amazing!! Five years ago I would have never believed this could happen. Lord James of Blackheath  has uncovered a massive fraud and presents it to the House of Lords. His evidence is pretty solid and extensive.

How to find a transition community in the Ohio Valley?

How do I go about finding a compatible transitional community in the Ohio Valley? I'm especially, but not only, interested in Louisville, Ky, but no luck so far. I've been looking online.  If you know of one, I'd love to learn more about it.  I'm getting ready to launch and, like Chris, believe in community support.  Thanks in advance.
