Ravi, welcome to the group. I am a foreigner settled and married in India. I came here in 1994. I worked as a programmer and now am (semi-)retired. I joined peakprosperity.com a few days ago, but first watched the Crash Course about 2 years ago.

I have been trying to understand how to be resilient in the face of the big changes going on. I have to admit, I understand some of what's going on, but still have a lot of confusion about it. I am especially concerned because India does not let money and gold flow freely across its borders and because the way things are going, it is harder to imagine I'll get my US Social Security than it is to imagine Social Security Administration defaulting on its obligations.

How about you? How is your understanding of economic realities and your comfort level with your preparations?
